Woww.
I wasn't a "fan" of his work but it made for inoffensive background music, and I'll be damned if you could walk into a department store, coffee shop, gym, restaurant, casino, office party or grocery store without hearing one of his songs for the past 7 or 8 years. Damn near can't watch a Youtube video without hearing "Levels" even today. Every time I go to Vegas, his tracks are on heavy rotation poolside and in the bars to the point where whenever I'm booking a flight all I hear is "Heeeeyyyyyyyyy BROTHER!"
It's really a shame. That work hard, play harder life ain't for everybody. Dude grinded and started getting his paper at a young age but it came at a price. I see at one point he was doing 300 shows a year. He was basically working (and travelling) ridiculous hours, essentially going 7 days a week with 2 or 3 "off days" per month. Possible drug and alcohol abuse aside, that shyt would take a toll on anyone. I'm still amazed Tiesto has made it to damn near 50 living that life.
