In some defense of Sweet.
He was the older brother.
He had to bear the brunt of trauma of losing his youngest not saying CJ was completely wrong for leaving but Sweet was the one who had to console and support their traumatized mother while navigating his own trauma. It was clear that CJ was supposed to ultimately be the leader of Grove St as he had dreams and ambition but Sweet had to take that mantle as the OG with friends who essentially took advantage of his blind spots.
Sweet was probably a little jealous of CJ not because of the success per se but that maybe he could have stabilized grove St if he had CJs smarts and leadership.
