Crash 1 came out way before Mario 64. I already loved the game before Mario 64 was a thing.
And just cause a better game exists, doesn't mean this one should never come back. Plenty of games get reboots/teamsters. Crash and Mario are different enough to coexist. The games aren't even that similar other than being platformers.

What's funny is those crash chase levels are what set the groundwork for the set pieces in uncharted.

Bottom line though in all seriousness...Crash Bandicoot as a series was always weak to me.
Never really cared a whole lot for it. It was OK for its time.
This game released during the same gen as Metal Goat Solid so there's my comparison of what I consider a great game for that time.
I have absolutely no interest in playing it in any form in 2016 or 17.
But hey, maybe they will shut me up and drop something dope with the characters. I doubt it....but its possible.
