It seems silly to say this is outselling the Switch 2-1 like that carries weight when one of them had enough supply to actually meet demand and the other took a very long time to catch up to demand. Hell the Switch wasn't easy to get for years after release. Pretty much the entire time the Switch 2 has been out you could easily walk in a store and buy one.
A direct sales comparison won't mean much until we're well into the Switch 2's life and it's still outselling the Switch. The Switch despite it's early supply issues is close to outselling the best selling system of all time. We don't know if the Switch 2 will reach those heights at this point.

Sure, and odds are it won't outsell the Switch 1 (especially if Nintendo can't figure out a price cut a few years down the line)...but @MeachTheMonster and other posters on here arguing the platform has no hype or momentum in the real world is totally detached from reality.
It absolutely has hype and momentum. I think they are more focused on the fact that it doesn't have many games that appeal to them. They don't seem to get they aren't the target audience and are the opposite of the target.
Me saying there was no hype at launch had nothing to do with sales. Or sales expectations.
The thing didn’t have any reviews and a very tepid release schedule. shyt still ain’t got no great games.
Dropping sales updates in here is missing the point.

Unless something changed and your most hyped game is Pokémon, Mario Kart, or Kirby it's just time to accept that everything ain't for everybody and some things exist that won't appeal to you but will appeal to massive amounts of other people.

I’m not the one that keeps upping the thread and quoting/mentioning people.
The thread was literally a reaction to the fact the thing came out and didn’t seem to have the traditional hype/fanfare of a console launch.
There were no reviews. I didn’t see any random mainstream news articles about it. My kids were not talking about it. I legit forgot the thing was coming out at that point.
That’s the ONLY thing this thread was about.
