Anyone who was expecting the Switch 2 to match Switch 1 sales was sipping on Nintendo Koolaid. Switch 2 was roughly 50% more expensive than the outgoing model. Of course it wasn't going to sell as many units. When Switch 1 released at $299, parents were buying a Switch for each child. This Christmas, they bought one for the entire family to share. Now that most of the diehards have bought their Switch 2s, its time to see how well it sells to casuals. It will be far from a flop, but sales will be low enough to make Nintendo execs panic.
