ya'll got craigslist or its equivalent over there? You can buy a phone off there for cheaper off contract. but even here, the iphone 5S and 5C are pretty expensive on the secondary market cuz it's only been out a month. if you have an iphone 5, why not wait til the 6 drops? the jump from 5 to 5S isn't drastic enough to warrant spending that kinda money IMO.

I just upgraded from 4S to 5S last month and I got a 32GB phone for $300 with a contract and sold my 32GB 4S for $175 in order to negate those cost.

my wife upgraded from 4S to 5C and best buy gave her like $150 for her 16GB 4S which is more than what she paid for the 5C which was only $99.

I just looked for a iphone 5 64gb over 24 months, it's 42 a month and you have to pay 299 for the phone.

Good idea to sell off my iPhone 4S to negate cost, still not sure if I'm better off with a samsung with essentially unlimited storage though.

I drive for a living, so it'd be nice to have all my music/audiobooks/comedy with me at all times.

How easy is google music to set up, I've never even checked it out, you have to pay like spotify?
Yes and no. Its easy to set up. You can upload up to 20,000 songs to your google music account and stream it to your computer or phone, basically anywhere you have internet/data connection. This is free. If want to add the streaming service which has access to 20 million songs its 9.99 a month with a 1 month free trial.

Anyone saying that Google doesn't have an equivalent to iTunes is on some fanboy shyt. You can get basically every song iTunes has in the Play Store. The only thing thats missing is podcasts. We got music, tv, movies, books, papers everything. And even if you still want to use iTunes, all you have to do is download the little Music app on your computer, tell it where your music is and it uploads it to the cloud automatically whenever you get new music. Plus the data use isn't that bad, once you've streamed a song one time it stays on your phone, doesn't stream everytime.

getting music playlist onto the s4 is a nightmare...and you can't play music thru the usb port. Those are my two biggest gripes about the S4. If I didn't have an Ipod touch i'd have committed that. But other than that the S4 is that shyt. The sd card on top of the phones storage is that deal man. As someone who has used Ipods for many years its very hard to get used to a completely different system for music. I wish android could be sorted thru Itunes...that would be greatness. Other than that...and the usb thing...I can't really think of anything the Iphone is better than the S4 at...Emojis maybe.

In addition to what I said above it also syncs playlists.

I use to like dragging and dropping over iTunes, but I find that iTunes organizes my music MUCH better than android phones by themselves do. There are a couple albums that will play out of order on my htc one but are perfect on the iPhone. It also has wireless syncing and backup.
The couple advantages the s4 has over the iPhone is mainly openness. I miss using my phone as portable storage, it's really dumb that i have 64gb and can only access pictures from the computer.

So, we don't to sign up for the google all access to stream our music correct? If so, could there be a reason why my phone won't see any of the music I uploaded on my google music, it acts like the music on the phone is the only music available.

Correct. Make sure your Google music app is signed into your google account. Go to your sync option in your phone and make sure its turned on for google music.
