Nah send them back and have americans do the work.

It just means the work won't get done. (by humans. Might get done by machines, or gotten from other countries. )

Nursing, Construction, Restaurants, etc.

What a lot of folks don't seem to get is that immigrants, low skill and high skill, but especially illegal ones - subsidize their lifestyles.
Just like making electronics in Asia subsidizes your life style.
Just like moving factories out of the midwest to the South, to Mexico...
Just like having easy and available consumer credit...
Just like automation and software..

People really should want to take ALL of the slack out of the system.

Everything? Prolly not. Nobody wants to literally get rid of excavators and go back to shovels - but a lot of modern convenience/affluence SHOULD go, even it costs more.

Through H1B visas? I was thinking of less skilled and illegal migration.
Lots of Indian CEOs crash and burn you just don't hear about them. Just look at Starbucks for one example. I've only worked for a few in my career and they were all terrible. They usually get hired to replace American staff with cheaper Indian labor.

Not trying to do the standard "dunk on Indians" fest that the Coli loves...but i've worked with so many, and only a handful are cool. I've met more cool Asians than I have Indians (so what is that like, 5 Asians vs 3 Indians. lol)

At least in professional settings - they play 3 games
  1. "Rules Based Order" - zero imagination, just apply the rules to every situation like a machine
    1. also, memorize everything.
  2. Suck Up to the people in charge
  3. Dump on every Black Person (or low caste if available) (Asians, Indians, Arabs, etc all think they're better than all Black people, point blank period. Whites and Jews prolly do to, they just keep their casual racism in relative check)
It's rare for me to see them diverge from that paradigm in a professional setting.

But the 1st 2 - zero imagination and sucking up - is why they rarely rise and why they rarely succeed. This is even more so than the Asians (Jungle or Fancy), in my experience.

Low key, when I was in hiring capacity, there were a lot of "code words" about Asians and Indians that had better GPAs and Pedigrees. "Team Work/Works Well With People/Team Player"...etc

Not saying those are good concepts (culture fit is another euphemism), because the machine will use anyone, but even with the messed up racist/capitalist machine - they fail to understand what's really going on...

Both the Indians and Asians have this weird idea that we live in a meritocracy, but then don't operate like it.

It's a hard thing for me to grasp my mind around, but they keep putting rims on a car thinking that's gonna make it go much faster.

The only cool ones I know we're either born in the US or had green cards for decades. The rest act like your invisible until they need something from you. It's a weird dynamic now with the backlash against H1Bs.
