Absolute nonsense. Hiphop consists of many different types of sounds and approaches. Swizz approach is HIS approach. If it was about doing things A CERTAIN way forever only, then it would have never evolved. In the end it's hot or it's NOT. hIPHOP STARTED IN PARK and was about moving the crowd and entertaining party like scenes. Swizz does that better than pete MUCH BETTER. Swizz is real hiphop.
I see where you are coming from - and artists should be free to create and expand the genre, but there has to be some basic guidelines. I mean, a guy singing over an acoustic guitar is never going to be called hip hop. I'm not saying that Swizz ain't hip hop. And those entertaining party scenes at block parties were emcees rapping over break beats. The genesis of sampling.

In the long run, Cassidy and Eve don't matter. Swizz ain't make DMX.
Eve went on to have her own tv show and the album he produced went double plat. You're saying so and so dont matter in the long run as if pete rock ever mattered. He never was truly the man at his craft. He never was that nikka with the hottest shyt out. RR anthem was definitely the song that made dmx and party up (another swizz classic) is his biggest record to date

To rehash already popular songs so they could get burn in that NY so called real hiphop market? Damn sure wasnt a hitmaker

Name some other producers from his era 90-94 where rappers from all across the country got beats from them. You are applying late 90s standards to the early 90s. You do know things were different right?
Name them for what?
What you said doesn't negate what i ssaid AT ALL

True definition of apples and oranges. No one's mad cause caclemore made that corny shyt. They're mad because his white privilege and gay cheerleading allows his bullshyt to get pushed on an uneven playing field.
Meanwhile alot of what black people wanted to do,was minimized or outright denied by the powers that be. Hell, lil brother was told their music was too intelligent, while they were pushing a great sounding song called "lovin it". Pete had just as much of a chance as swizz so it's a much different scenario. Both had connections. Swizz had his uncles, pete had his cousin heavy d. He was sour grapes cause swizz was blowing up. But swizz blew up fair and square on an even playing field, using his creativity. I agree pete's beats are more complex, but that doesnt mean they're better.
Blowing up - in the sense that you are thinking of - commercial success at all costs - does not put Pete and Swizz on an even playing field as hip-hop was far more mainstream when Swizz broke through.
And I disagree that people aren't mad at the type of music Macklemore is making. But by your definition, since he's having sucess, you can't hate on him.

bUT IF HE RAPPED OVER IT,IT WOULD BE. Also they used break beats and sampling cause alot of them felt they had no choice. Swizz exercised his options. He made some great records and had old bitter has beens hating

You're acting like having everyone in your region go to you for a remix isn't a big deal. SO name producers from 90-94 who had everyone nationwide coming to them for beats.

IF you really feel that break beats, sampling and taking loops off a Casio keyboard are equivalent - then that's your opinion.

Pete was still around and connected to many hiphop big wigs after swizz got in the game though. Yet he still couldnt do anything BIG. Cause he wanted to hold firm to that boring ass shyt he's been doing since he started. My breakdown of Macklemore, was virtually perfect, disagree if you want though.

After 98? What connections?
I don't necessarily agree/disagree with your breakdown - my point and your breakdown aren't mutually exclusive - but to say no one takes issue with the music Macklemore makes (just the music itself) is absolutely wrong

I didnt act like anything. And I already explained why i felt they went to him. What's really important to note is how many nikkas went to him yet ended up with nothing of relevance. With the exception of songs that were already in rotation without his help and he did a remix of it. Nice lil hustle, I salute him.
