so you judging only off one year? last year was straight.

last year was weak as fukk compared to the previous 2-3 years in terms of hiphop and i been goin since 05 usually theres more promo for shows coming into austin but i havent seen shyt really, ive got most of my updates from this thread.

true, sxsw used to be a cool fun event where you got to check out a bunch of new music you have never heard of before but now it is a place for Doritos to launch their new chip flavor.

exactly. each year ive noticed the corporate takeover but last year made it seem like austin/sxsw was bought out completely by these companies

last year it was weak how any big name act they made the shows super exclusive/hard to get into. Hip hop wise the only big names were like Kendrick, TI and Snoop besides the LL/Cube/PE show which was badges only pretty much, this yr the names are already looking better with Nas coming.. and a lot of good free shows was 21+ i didnt see much rap there at all

Just got my flight shyt situated today

Last year there was a gang of Hip hop stuff...it just wasnt on the "official" things but still if you can say there wasnt much then ya werent really looking or only looking at flyers online.
