I don't know breh. Julia kinda got assraped by the Fox. So its understandable that she would want to kill that muthafukka. And its not like she was in the wrong. Directly after they let the Fox go, he went and slaughtered another one of Julia's friends. They ended up killing the Beast later so they fukked up Julia's shyt for no reason.

If you read the second book, it's basically Julia's book. She's basically as smart as Alice is....so she goes crazy not being able to understand why she didn't get into Brakebills but, Quentin, who's a slacker got in. In the book it's explained that Julia was smart as fukk but, didn't believe in the magic stories she and Quentin read as kids anymore so she thought the test questions were silly and stupid whereas Quentin was like a Star Wars nerd at a Jedi academy. So Julia went crazy after knowing magic was real but, she was rejected. Went to every shady alley and hangout spot to learn what she could about magic 
eventually she blows past all the wannabe magicians and fakers and finds a group of real underground witches. They chilling in France, just smoking weed and doing magic all day. She gets close to everybody. Finally feels like she belongs. Finds a family. Happiness. Quentin was in Brakebills now and he kinda brushed her off when she came begging him to help her get into Brakebills after she failed the test. So finding this group helped her get over not being chosen for the school. For like 80 pages, they're preparing to summon this goddess and everybody at the house can't wait. This goddess is like the Athena or Aphrodite of magic. It essentially showed that despite her crew being smart, they weren't formally trained like the Brakebills students so they were calling up spirits and demons they had no business dealing with. Because the wholetime the Fox was listening instead

shyt was way more graphic in the book. Dude murdered everybody she had just gotten close to. Raped her friend, then raped her and came inside her too
IIRC, that's how she lost her soul in the books. Something about his essence being in her body changing her permanently. Shorty had every right to wanna kill that thing.

Not to be a corny book reader but, they did Alice's death poorly. In the books Quentin was all bytchy because Alice had fukked Penny. And he's treating her like complete shyt. Then at the end, Alice niffins out to kill the Beast. The group never had to kill Alice nor did Alice try to kill them. The magic just made her burn herself alive. So Quentin ends up feeling like shyt forever about it because he was treating her like shyt for fukking Penny when she sacrificed herself for everybody. She was a rider (outside of fukking Penny of course).

I had a long explanation but you've perfectly said it. I hated Julie with a passion at first, until I had rewatched Season 1 uncensored. Reynard slaughtered all of her friends, and she sacrificed herself by letting him rape her and let Kady go. She is now pregnant with his seed and can't get rid of the baby, and people can't see why she is the way she is?
The icing on the cake is the goddess they had summoned, was actually real.
Edit: Think I'm going to read the books. Keep seeing it's better.

IF ANYONE WATCHES THIS SHOW IT HAS TO BE UNCENSORED...
Its MUCH better than just watching it on syfy. Its more like the books because they show and say all the fukked up shyt they can't show on regular TV.
Reynard is worse than the beast btw.... Much worse.
