Just because you create and right something doesn’t mean that you have ownership of it. What more than likely happened is that he didn’t the power and sway during the time to make those type of demands when getting his creation brought to life.

Getting creations and writings off the ground cost money, but you at least try and fight for some semblance of ownership even if it’s a small amount.

You wouldn't be saying that if you came up with an idea or script that someone is else is eating from and you aren't. If you agree with Cube and his complaint about not owning the Friday series, then this one is essentially the same situation. Granted, both actors should have fought harder to get some semblance of an EP credit for their work.

You should want some semblance of ownership for your work and you’d be an idiot if you sat and said otherwise.
