TBoz has never, could never, and will never be able to hold a note. Her voice was always camoflaged and well produced in the background. The bytch sounds like a man. Nicki can't sing worth a damn either, but she's better than T-Boz. I base that off having ears.

And yess as a fan of the show she's mad they got a non singer on the show....

That makes no sense. If she was a fan of the show, she'd have had to be a fan of Simon and Randy, two non-singers on the show....and Paula Abdul, who sings even worse than T-Boz.

TLC sold 55 million records. They already came through and crushed the buildings. Nicki is already having trouble selling (not shipping) platinum with her second album... her second album.

Tionne Watkins ain't trying to sell records. Been there, done that. Nicki on the other hand needs all the exposure she can get... though neither one is hurting for cash at the moment.

T-Boz doesn't have a huge range. Never did. That's known. But that's not why people listened to her on records. You think she was trying to hold notes on Creep and Red Light Special? That's not why she was the lead singer on many of their big hits... her voice was different.

Matter of fact, a LOT of late 80s-mid 90s R&B singers had very limited ranges. That's why most of them were in groups... to complement each other. That's also why very few of them had decent solo careers. The singers of New Edition were some of the few exceptions.

I can say it because I've heard the songs. TLC's first album was a classic for that genre, but she can't sing. None of them could. Why are we re-writing history? They were innovators and pioneers but they couldn't sing. Janet Jackson can't sing and she's a legend. Nicki's not great, but she's better than T-Boz at singing.

Nicki has 10x the access to studio tricks that allow her to sound way better singing than T-Boz ever had. Nicki can not sing better than her. Nicki's voice isn't awful (as in it's not complete trash), but it's not enough to carry her if she wanted to go completely R&B.
