trill talk... almost ALL of the successful rappers that have come about have put other rappers on that were from their area, cosigning other rap acts from their city or were part of crews that came from the same area they came from.

i noticed how drake has been 3 albums deep and has YET to put on or cosign another rapper from his city. there's several. i know toronto has a rap scene. i know that there's rappers from that city. you mean to tell me that dude can't even cosign or vouch for another rapper to put his city on. is dude that much of a narcissistic bytch that he literally doesn't want ANYBODY else from his city to shine or for that matter have his city or rather the rap scene in his country to get noticed because he fears being outshined by a better rapper from his area. discuss.

actually, he does. if the rappers in his city weren't rapping, nobody would even bother to give drake a chance. he damn sure ain't the first rapper from his city.

drake is pretty much the antichrist to the rap shyt. he's scared to battle. he's scared to lead. he's scared to be the leader of a movement BUT yet he wants to come down to america and kick it with us. dude coming down to memphis acting like he from there. dude screams toronto but he act like he's not from there. dude ain't hip hop. fukk all these frauds trying to come into the rap shyt for money and fame trying to treat the shyt as if it's disposable or something.

Rap or not Drake put on two artists SUCCESSFULLY from his city, and signed one of them. That's something 99% of rappers can't say they've done

but even if he didn't.

Drake didn't come up through Toronto's hip hop scene. Drake didnt grind away in the Toronto scene, then blow up, represent his cities sound, expand and take it national and international. He was a child actor, had some connects that got his demo/mixtape to waynes hand, wayne signed him in the US and blew him up in the houston and miami and eventually ATL markets, and took him US national, and Canada was happy to have someone from their reach that status so they rode with him. But musically he isnt from that school of music, and he didnt have those relationships on the way up that would cause him to feel obligated to help them dudes...
