"Changed the game" is an overused phrase, but using what I assume are your standards, DJ Toomp didn't with his orchestral trap beats? C'mon....
He was the father to the Justice League's sound as much as Shawty Redd was to Lex Luger and his knockoffs.
TI's trash. fukkin cornball.
wait, let me rephrase that.
Tee aye trae. Fughn kawnbough.
tip is the 1st trap rapper now?![]()
no one said that..
just sayin TI was the most popular trap rapper of the last decade...
@ his PEAK in POPULARITY 2005..
ROSS and JEEZY both debuted... and are similar.. coincidence![]()
jeezy was/is more popular than tip.
youre rewriting history with statements like "tip was the biggest rapper on the planet" & "most popular trap rapper of the last decade"

when KING dropped he did 550k+ 1st week and that same week he had a #1 movie @ the box office..
who was bigger than TI in 2006? only one who come close is KANYE.. and he didnt drop shyt in 2006 LR was 2005...
sales PROVE he was the biggest trap rapper of the last decade
\
how is JEEZy more popular? TI has MULTIPLE MULTI-PLAT ALBUMS
2006 was the only time when you could say that tip was bigger than jeezy.
you put too much stock into sales b. tip was pushed way harder than jeezy, and it was a communal effort in the industry to add validity to his claim of being the king of the south. plus, he stayed pandering to the commercial crowd & even the pop crowd.
and even then, jeezy still sold more records half the time.
tip would snitch on tiny in order to be as popular as jeezy was circa 2005.

2008 PAPER TRAIL 2x PLAT... jeezy has NEVER had an album sell as much as TIPS 2008 releASE..
you sayin JEZZY was bigger than TI every year but 06.. explain![]()

explain what?
nah homie. youre the one with the explaining to do. where u from, whats ur age and whats your life like.
i lived thru this era full-metal jacket.
\T.I.>>>> Ross>>>> Jeezy
T.I. has them on both quality and numbers. 2006-2008 were monster years for T.I. He had chart topping singles, platinum, and multi-platinum albums. He also had critical acclaim. Only Wayne, Jay, and Kanye were on equal or better standing than T.I. during those years. From '04-'05, T.I. and Jeezy were pretty much even. Still, it could be argued that T.I. was the bigger artist especially since he had hits without features.
Jeezy was a better and bigger artist than Ross from '06-'09. Deeper Than Rap bridged the gap between Ross and Jeezy, and Teflon Don put Ross in front.
In terms of quality, Trap Muzik is the best album among the three with Deeper Than Rap coming in second. Jeezy's first three albums are dope, but I see TM101 the same way I view Master P's Ghetto D. Both albums are hood/street classics, but does it really hold up to an album like Face's Untouchable. Untouchable sold less and is one of Face's more slept on releases, but lyrically, stylistically, and musically offered more than Ghetto D while Ghetto D sold more and got more love from the streets/hood.
