Everywhere...You never there.
Did people look at T.I like a ATL don:dahell:?to me his music, especially his early music was from the perspective of a nikka on the corner....never came across like he was a kingpin or trying to portray that to me....obviously he wasnt going to give Shawty Lo any credit for anything while they was beefin:pachaha:

Not early on ... true . But even his early tales he was talking about ki's :duck:

Salute to T.I. for being respectful and honest, especially given the circumstances.

That being said, the beef went a little further than just competition...

Yea...TI ain't known for bein the most humble person and the fact that he went as far as to say Lo was "much much further ahead" def surprised me. Even considering the circumstances.

Almost like bruh broke character for a second

One one hand, it's easier to give it up like that when someone is dead, and they can't do anything positive or negative with the praise you give them.

But on the other hand, I'm not from Atlanta and that was obvious. Wasn't it Shawty Lo's main angle during the beef? That he "jumped off the porch" earlier than TI? He damn sure wasn't trying to convince people that he could rap better. TI could have just tried to blackball Shawty Lo, but he knew the city wouldn't respect that. For him to be dishonest about it now would be even worse, because I'm sure there are plenty of people who knew them both and could expose him.

Anyway, TIP was in the pilot episode for Shawty Lo's reality show. He could have kept his distance, but he showed love instead. So I'd assume he's been on the up and up with Lo. Salute to him.

When do you first recall hearing about Shawty Lo?

Carlos, I knew about Carlos before he was ever Shawty Lo. I knew about Carlos back in high school. We was, how can I say, we had some things in common and we had some mutual acquaintances and we did some of the same things around the same time in the same area. He was much, much, further ahead in his establishing of himself in that particular arena than I was. But I knew him before he knew me, definitely.

L.O. was really really moving units in the city :pachaha:

RIP Shawty Low :mjcry:. TIP the Don of ATL now. Lo was the only rapper that could get at TIP on wax and the streets.

Yeah I understand what u sayin bout lo bein out there before rap

I would just have expected TI To say somethin like

"we was both in the streets doin our thing and knew some of the same people"

And kinda kept it movin

Just surprised me he was willing to go in depth on the topic and go as far as admitting that lo was heavier in the streets than he was. He ain't have to do that
Because ti knows the ATL streets know the truth and the emotions runnin currently down there could be volatile to tip if he doesn't word it right and honestly....this whole interview is hood pr for tip in my opinion. Ensuring future viability. Smart.

RIP Lo though.

T.I sent Alfamega to make a video in Bankhead and the nikkas that he found wouldn't even agree to say T.I was from there.

T.I a fraud.
