People keep forgetting that these versus are about performance as much as their about hits. Is T.I. a super good performer ? :jbhmm:

Put his 19 syllable word usage ass against Busta. Bet he get humble.

Lets just keep it funky. He turned it down because he didn't want to go against a woman...which if that is the case would be wack as fucc because they're eachothers perfect match up

It's insulting to Busta to compare him to Missy. Only thing they got in common are they both got creative music videos. Busta is real an mc going back to early 90s and got hits from every era over his 30 year career. At one point he was on every remix of every hit record. Outside his own joints He got street anthems like ante up, classic 90s like atcq scenario and even modern pop records like look at me now.

Missy popped late 90s and early 2000's with the Timbo sound and that's it. Not even a 10 year run. She only got pop records and is a performer not an mc. Her live shows need 50 background dancers and pyrotechnics to work. She can't pull a Jada kiss and rock a crowd with just a mic and dj but Busta can. It would be a slaughter.

This! Busta vs missy is mad disrespectful to busta. Missy not the mc, rapper or performer busta is. Plus versez ain't what it was a year ago.these new verses it be tension in the air like a brawl can pop off at any moment. nikkas talk they shyt and it's super competitive. Can't really get in that bag against a female. Also musically missy is too r&b.

but back to the main point like somebody in here said I like ti vs game or luda

All this "real MC" talk is overshadowed by the fact of Busta's animation. People didn't cop Busta albums to hear lyricism. Busta Rhymes for all intents and purposes is in the same box as Missy. That's only an insult to people who view him as an incredible lyricist. When Busta got serious, people didn't check for him. Nobody's checking for Busta's "street anthems", which is why Big Bang wasn't bigger. Songs like "Woo Hah", "Put Your Hands Where My Eyes Can See", "Dangerous", "Fire It Up", "Gimme Some More" and "Touch It" MADE Busta Rhymes. Songs are no different than Missy's "The Rain", "Get Ur Freak On", "Work It", "Lose Control" or any of Missy's big singles. If Busta is saying Missy is his twin, why do ya'll have a problem with it.

And would ya'll please stop throwing Jadakiss into these conversations. Jada is Jada. Busta is not gonna go up there and freestyle some mixtape joints. Dip Set and The Lox BOTH had legendary mixtape joints, some of which were freestyles, which is why those got the reaction they got. People wanted those and expected those.

Last, Missy has had more recent rap hits than Busta Rhymes as recent as 2015-2017.

Nah. Busta is way deeper MC than Missy. For instance, what's Missy gonna play if Busta goes into his early 90's LONS/ATCQ shyt?

People have this misconception about them mainly because of them videos.

Breh, Leaders of the New School nor ATCQ is grimey Hip Hop. Missy is a direct descendant. She could still play any of her joints against those.

There's no misconception about them. Busta made fun music. Same with Missy. Lyricism was not draw for either of them even though Busta had lyrics. There's a reason why Busta Rhymes is slept on.

They should go against each other

If they were to do this -. Let me get live perfromances from The Volume where they can access the tech that they use to shoot all the Marvel/Star Wars backgrounds. and let Hype Williams direct/ do cinematography. :lupe:

Busta made more than "fun" music.

Busta got street bangers. Missy barely.

Busta can rap his ass off. Missy barely.

The only point of intersection is the poppish/mainstream/r'nbish stuff.

They are not equal in size and deepness.

Breh, if Busta does a Verzuz, whatever "street bangers" he has are not going to win him any rounds even if he were pit against a Nas, LL, or a Jay Z. We're really here trying to front like Busta Rhymes is DMX going against Latifah.

The intersect at more than just Pop/mainstream/R&B ish music.

EVERY song that people KNOW and LOVE Busta Rhymes for is cut from the same cloth as the songs that people KNOW and LOVE Missy Elliott for. A DJ could do a full set of Missy and Busta joints that would pack a dance floor and most of those joints would be Busta's most beloved songs.
