Whatever you say

It would be a mismatch

After Missy plays her popular "rap" records still a lot more show to go

And I'd argue none of her rap hits are beating Bustas

It would be a disservice to her

Again, Busta says Missy is HIS BEST opponent. Your opinion is null and void. It's not a mismatch.

Breh, that is one song and it is a feature. Busta's catalog isn't packed with "Ante Up" type songs and you know that. Cut the BS.

So feature ain't part of a verzuz or a catalogue?

If we take out feature, how many hard hip hop bangers Missy got by herself?

Jadakiss rocked the crowd with an obscure FORGOTTEN freestyle.

Busta is a New York MC. In front of a HIP-HOP crowd, her shyt ain't hittin as hard as Busta.

Again, here ya'll go with the Jadakiss BS. This wouldn't be the same audience. Dip Set and LOX are both groups that are mixtape heavy. Their fans showed up to see some of those freestyles and mixtape joints. Their fans LOVE those joints more so than the joints that were huge commercially. This is not the same for Busta. I remember Busta hoping on the "Hail Mary" diss track and even on the song he's saying "let me get back to having fun". Those type of joints isn't his bag.

In front of a Hip Hop crowd, nobody is showing up for Busta Rhymes to just spit some bars because that IS NOT HIS LANE. This is no different than when Luda went against Nelly. Luda is viewed as much more of an MC than Nelly, but that was still a good Verzuz as both of them made fun club bangers. Ludacris could go off in a Cypher, Nelly can't. Still, nobody looked at it as who was the better rapper. Both had those fun, club joints and that's why it made sense.

Lol

No. It's a mismatch

And Busta wasn't even down for the idea at first

Not to mention Missy doesn't even wanna do one

I stand by she needs another singer/rapper/songwriter type to battle

Breh, I posted a whole video of Busta saying "Missy Elliott is my best opponent". Dance around it all you want. He said it. Not only him, but it's been suggested by more than just Busta. Like I said before, instead of juelzing just say you don't want to see it and keep it moving.

And people saying this is a mismatch, it is laughable. The first voice that is heard on Missy's first album is BUSTA RHYMES. They've done multiple songs together throughout the years, yet people are in here talking about a mismatch.

Supa Dupa Fly, Get Ur Freak On, Hot Boyz, Work It, Lose Control, Minute Man, We Run This, Where They From, Pass the Dutch, Gossip Folks, Back in the Day, Nobody's Perfect, Hit Em Wit Da Hee, 1 2 Step, Let It Go and Not Tonight are all pretty popular songs :dwillhuh:

She is barely rapping rapping on a lot of these tracks and doesn't account for the hits she has done for others

Just rather she go against a more versatile artist who also sings and produces like a Pharrell

Opposed to a Busta who can freestyle, get lyrical/ get grimy along with his party records

Not saying it's the worst matchup but I probably wouldn't tune in for long

Like I said he wasn't down for the idea at first lol

Bruh was even tryna get one with TI not too long ago now he is just going with the crowd

Just because an idea is popular doesn't mean it's a great idea

Remember Rah Digga was on some this isn't the best matchup tip as well

Can't find the tweet. But found an article

On Twitter, rapper Rah Digga responded to the idea of a battle between Busta Rhymes and Missy Elliot. She said, "No. Missy needs a singer/rapper/songwriter type battle. Busta is a dungeon dragon w/ 30 YEARS of hits and verses. Two COMPLETELY different animals."

It's his lane also because he did that in his albums. It's his repertoire Your argument make no sense.

Your idea of a mono-dimensional Busta does not compute with reality. Sorry.

Anarchy is again one of the worst eras of his career. When he dropped that, it wasn't what people wanted from Bus. Compare that to when Genesis dropped.

And just because Rah Digga doesn't think it's a great idea, doesn't make it a mis match. Why STILL CONTINUE TO ARGUE THIS WHEN BUSTA HIMSELF DISAGREES?

This isn't rocket science. It has nothing to do with popularity. BUSTA HIMSELF THINKS ITS A GOOD MATCH.
