It will and people will love it. It's one of his best songs. LOL.
Anarchy is again one of the worst eras of his career. When he dropped that, it wasn't what people wanted from Bus. Compare that to when Genesis dropped.
And just because Rah Digga doesn't think it's a great idea, doesn't make it a mis match. Why STILL CONTINUE TO ARGUE THIS WHEN BUSTA HIMSELF DISAGREES?
This isn't rocket science. It has nothing to do with popularity. BUSTA HIMSELF THINKS ITS A GOOD MATCH.
It may be one of his best songs, but it winning depends on the audience. And if you're already saying it is in front of an NYC crowd, then you've already handicapped Busta.
Nikka I don't care what Busta thinks. TI believes he can beat J, Ye, Wayne. That means shyt. Busta is just tryna battle anyone at this point
Again the shyt is not ideal and I'm not alone in that thinking.... Agree to disagree if " Well Busta thinks..." is ur strongest argument
Busta's opinion on who he thinks is his best opponent holds much more weight than yours, mine, and Rah Digga's. It's HIS music and HIS career. It went platinum and reached the N°1 spot in Hip-Hop chart. So, it's also what people wanted. Being less popular than Genesis does not mean it did not have a public.
Is it a surprise that a more fun/party orientated Busta have more commercial success?
Busta is multi dimensional. Being less successfully commercial does not make it less busta. It's still him.

None of our opinions on thecoli matter in the grand scheme of things
Agree to disagree
Who said Busta wasn't multi-dimesnsional?
My point still stands, Busta MADE his name by making fun, club ready energetic songs. Those are the joints that MADE people cop his albums. Lyrical, street hop wasn't Busta. That was more so what was wanted from Mobb Deep and Nas. They do more than lyrical street hop, but that wasn't as received as those joints.
The debate is not about what made his name or not, it's about his catalog. Verzuz as we know now is not about singles and charts, it's about the catalog and the performance.
Busta's catalog is way more diverse than Missy's. That's a fact. For that sole reason, they are a mismatch.
