“Hurt” was fire and it had a couple other cool tracks (the ones with Em and Jay, and the Act tracks), but overall it was just decent and doesn’t deserve an anniversary thread

Schooling people takes forever; don't bother
I thought the album was solid. Could have been a near classic had it been skimmed down….and also if some of the Just Blaze produced tracks that were suppose to be on it had their samples cleared.

Help with the original Barry White sample was a banger, but the estate would budge.

was this version ever released or someone manage to recreate it? all we got was snippets even on mixtapes I think

Nah, Paper Trail was.

T.I. Vs. T.I.P. had very solid production, but the song writing was mediocre. You get the impression that it’s supposed to be a concept album, but the lyrics rarely reflected that. And when they did, it just felt like T.I. fukked up the vibe on a good beat.

This song here is a good example of what’s wrong with the album. This could have easily been a SMASH but instead he used that amazing beat to have an awkward conversation with himself :martin:

the full instrumental with the beat switches was available on youtube, idk if danja or whoever wished that someone remixed the beat and put their own spin on it...i think wayne rapped on this for like 2 minutes but didn't really kill it on some datpiff mixtape i listened to years ago and named it one word like 'respect' or 'hustle' but I can't find that song anymore and mixtape wasn't readily available for download

yeah there are risks with concept albums if he outstretched himself...during this time, making skits on youtube was big at the time and he really made 10 skits having conversations with himself www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLGC7OEcfZ1LFc2Wq-2Z_i_NEu2QAceZux
