T-Mobile Launches "JUMP!" Upgrade Program, More Upgrades For Everyone | TmoNewsTmoNews

So here it is, T-Mobile’s JUMP! upgrade program “designed to provide customers with total protection for one of their prized possessions: their smartphones.”

JUMP! will offer customers a chance to upgrade to a device twice every 12 months, not just once every two years. Existing customers can get the same phone prices as new customers and trade-in their old phone when you upgrade.

So how does it work?

Buy a new smartphone on a Simple Choice Plan using our Equipment Installment Program.

Enroll in JUMP! for $10 a month when you add Services to your order.

Upgrade as soon as six months after enrollment.

Trade in your phone each time you upgrade so you can get the same great price as new customers for new phones.

David, when can I “JUMP!” on this? How about July 14th for just $10 per month.

JUMP! from T-Mobile is designed to provide customers with total protection for one of their prized possessions: their smartphones. It offers the freedom to upgrade to a new device more affordably and protects against malfunction, damage, loss or theft — all for just $10 per month, per phone (plus taxes and fees). That’s just $2 more than most customers have been paying for handset protection alone.

Beginning Sunday, July 14, customers can choose to upgrade when they want, not when they’re told with JUMP! Here’s how it works: Customers can upgrade to a new phone, financed through T-Mobile’s Equipment Installment Program (EIP), twice every 12 months after they’ve been in the JUMP! program for six months. Simply trade in an eligible T-Mobile phone in good working condition at a participating store location. Any remaining EIP payments will be eliminated, and current customers can purchase new phones for the same upfront pricing as new customers, with device financing and Simple Choice Plan, a no-annual-service contract. With JUMP!, current customers never pay more for their new phones than new customers.

Created a thread the same time you did. Can the mods either delete mine or merge them?

Looks like a pretty good deal since most people are already paying $8 a month for insurance, so for an extra $2 you could enroll in the program. I only fukk with Nexus devices, so I couldn't really benefit from it. It would be good for wifey though when the new iPhones drop.

how do we get that LTE on the nexus 4 brehs

Have you unlocked your bootloader ?

If so .. Then you'll need to flash an older radio baseband prior to the 4.2.2 upgrade which put us on .48

There's a whole walk through of how to do this on XDA http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2211618

*edit* looks like an older post you're prolly better off flashing a rom with the "fix" included

I haven't done it yet cause im waiting to see how things turn out with this 4.3 upgrade
Which will allow Bluetooth connections with smart watches

Planning on getting that Sony watch when it drops in Sept.

But eh...I may not wait..

Great plan, but you gotta pay the $10 a month for 6 months before you can do your 1st upgrade.

I can't use this since I fukk w Nexus phones only from now on. But glad I left Sprint back in December, that ETF already paid off with the savings from my value plan contract.

This isnt a good deal IMO

you gotta pay $10/month just for this jump shyt, then you gotta wait 6 months before you upgrade, then you gotta give them your old phone when you upgrade and it has to be in good condition(no cracked screens) and then you're still paying full price for the new phone

It's cheaper to just sell your old phone and put up the remaining balance to buy a new phone
