This isnt a good deal IMO

you gotta pay $10/month just for this jump shyt, then you gotta wait 6 months before you upgrade, then you gotta give them your old phone when you upgrade and it has to be in good condition(no cracked screens) and then you're still paying full price for the new phone

It's cheaper to just sell your old phone and put up the remaing balance to buy a new phone

T-mobile insurance is $8 a month, this is $10 a month and you can still get the upgrade if you lose or break your phone, you just have to pay a deductible.

Still not a good deal :yeshrug:

Like I said its cheaper to just sell your old phone and put up the rest of the money for the new phone outta pocket

How you gonna make me give you my old phone to "upgrade" but im still paying full price for the new phone :beli:

Example:lets say I want the s4, I can easily get $400 for my note 2 then add $180 to that and cop a s4 so in the end I only paid $180 for the s4 and I own it(no bs $20/month until the phone is paid off)

With this shyt I gotta pay $10/month for 6 months($60), give them my Note 2 (-$400), and pay full price for the S4($580)

I don't see how people think this is a good deal :dwillhuh:

In your example you've already bought the phone in full before selling it, this is for people who only willing to pay that introductory price to upgrade their phone.

It's like leasing a car, great for people who always want the latest and greatest.

What T-Mobile needs to do is say " If you join us, we'll pay your termination fee"...Probably will never happen.. But people will not switch until their contracts are up.....by then they may not care or they get a discount on Upgrades anyway.

If people do the math on ETF vs their savings on T-Mo plans, they should come out even after 6 months.

Assuming they sell their old phones on craigslist, swappa or ebay or something.

this is getting poorly received on slickdeals

That because slick dealers are looking to game the system. This is a good system if you upgrade often. Look at like you are leasing a car. It does include insurance on the phone. So really its $2 a month.
