I'm going to call customer service tomorrow and see if there's anyway I can get on Jump On Demand. I'm already on Jump and I'll be preordering either way

I believe you have to pay the EIP off the first phone you have with jump to get JOD :smugfavre:

since you're on jump already you can pre order and turn your current phone into a local store and be good.. but you wont have JOD

tl;dr version: JOD can preorder at 12:01PT by calling T-Mobile at 1-800-937-8997. You can't preorder online. Priority goes to JOD and Jump. You need to return your old phone to an actual T-Mobile store once you receive, you can't ship it.

Q: How can I get iPhone 6s / 6s Plus with JUMP! On Demand starting Sept. 12?

  • Customers can call us at 1-800-937-8997 or visit their local participating T-Mobile store to get phones with JUMP! On Demand.
  • Upon calling T-Mobile to place their JUMP! On Demand order, they’ll receive an email requiring an eSignature within 48 hours to hold their place in line.
  • If you already have a phone with JUMP! On Demand, once you receive your new phone, just be sure to come to a T-Mobile store to turn in your previous phone. Otherwise, you’ll have two phone payments until you return the previous phone. JUMP! On Demand returns can only be done in a T-Mobile store.
Q: Do JUMP! and JUMP! On Demand customers get priority access?
  • Yep! T-Mobile’s JUMP! and JUMP! On Demand customers get priority access to iPhone 6s and 6s Plus.
  • When they pre-order in the first 48 hrs (starting 12:01 am PT on September 12), their orders will be the first to ship on September 25th or when we have inventory.
Q: Why do they get priority access?
  • We always put existing customers first. Since our JUMP! and JUMP! On Demand customers are part of these programs to get the latest technology, we are giving them a special offer to celebrate the launch of JUMP! On Demand.
  • All other orders are prioritized in the order they’re received, including orders from JUMP! and JUMP! On Demand customers that are placed after 12:01 am PT September 14, and we’ll be working hard to turn around customer orders as quickly as possible starting on September 25th.
Q: Why can’t I get a phone with JUMP! On Demand on T-Mobile.com?
  • JUMP! On Demand is currently only available in stores and on the phone. We’ll bring it online soon, but it is not quite ready and we want you to have the best possible experience getting your new phone.
  • We can help customers place their JUMP! On Demand orders – at 1-800-937-8997 starting at 12:01 am PT on September 12 or in a T-Mobile retail store.
Q: I am a JUMP! customer who wants to move to JUMP! On Demand, how do I do that?
  • You can move from JUMP! to JUMP! On Demand when you’ve paid off your current phone, and any trade-in value can help cover any outstanding payments – or help reduce future payments.
  • You can also call 1-800-937-8997 or visit a local store to place a preorder.
Q: I’m a JUMP! On Demand customer – how do I get iPhone 6s / 6s Plus? How much will it cost to upgrade?
  • Upgrading on JUMP! On Demand costs nothing upfront!
  • Customers can bring their current device into a local T-Mobile store for a three-point check-up to ensure it’s in good condition and then swap it out for one a new iPhone with no upgrade fees or taxes upfront. And yes, that includes the introductory pricing ($20 a month for iPhone 6s and $24 a month for iPhone 6s Plus – each with 16 GB) while it’s available. Higher memory iPhones may require additional money down.
Q: Do I have to go into my local T-Mobile store to trade-in my current device and upgrade with JUMP! On Demand?
  • All customers need to bring their current device into their local T-Mobile store for a three-point check-up and to trade-in. This is different than how it worked with JUMP!
  • Because this is only the second flagship phone we’ve launched since introducing JUMP! On Demand, we’re still perfecting the systems to support mail-in trade-ins at this time.

The resale value on the iphone 6 is still very high. Anyone with an iphone 6 can sell it for over 500 easily right now. Don't see how this is a great deal, unless you just want the latest phone and don't really care about saving money.

I plan on rocking my iphone 6plus 128 gig until next year at least. Especially since i just replaced the screen for $90 and i swear it looks and feels like a new phone!

true, I think this will be like the jump from the 4 to the 4s where I really didnt feel like I made that much of a change in experience, while I do feel I made a bigger jump going from the 5 to 5S. Even though Apples products are made in the sense of how 2 yr contracts are where your phone isn't really dated until the time your contact is up. Me personally I dont drink, splurge on clothes, do drugs, club, etc. I work in the Tech industry so if I`m going to spend money on something its at least something that I use in my profession.

man, I have the 5S, so going from that to the 6S is a significant improvement for me. and hopefully sprint is still offering contracts for the phone when it drops.

That's what he's missing, you only "own" the phone at the end of 2 years, but you're going to upgrade before that because they know that's what people do. And once they have you on the cycle you better believe the price of their service will go up next year, and the year after.

Do people think these companies are in the business of losing money? They want you to do this for a damn reason.

Ok your thinking too narrow let me break it down for you how I do it .

T-Mobile does the unsubstidize phone shyt correctly .

Low plans and u pay for your phones.

So I got a 6+ it's 850 I think .

I actually got a loyal customer discount for $100.

I put another $200 down so my monthly payment would be low .

Now I'm gonna end up paying this phone off pretty soon .

I'll unlock it and sell for as much as I can get .

iPhones retain value pretty damm great I think we can all agree .

When I sell this phone I can use that to put money down again for another phone .

I pay $80 a month for true unlimited everything and 5 gb hotspot .

How many people you know getting that ?

When I'm ready to sell my phone I'm going to get about half my money back .

That's not too shabby breh .

But, you're just going to upgrade to the 7 next year, you'll be in a constant cycle with Tmobile :wtf: Which is exactly why they're doing plans like this now, because they can retain you longer and you think you're winning :dead:
Everyone isn't doing that breh goodness .

The crazy thing about Apple is they support their phones for a long time !!

That's why they retain their value for so long .

If you had even a 16 go iPhone 5 you can get damm near $200 for it .

If you encounter some fools you can get over that .

dudes just want a reason to hate apple. Go to the Android thread and you will see folks complain about flag ship devices running like crap within 6 months or not even getting software updates a yr later.
