I'm sure Owens is still fast enough in a straight line. With no pads. And fresh, with no wear and tear from Fall camp and the grind of a season.

Yes, as you age you lose some speed and some quickness...but the biggest thing you lose as you get older is your body's ability to recover. So that 4.4 he's running right now would be a 4.9 by the 2nd or 3rd week of the season because his legs would be shot. That's why there aren't many 44 year old men in the history of pro sports that even had a chance to play.

Its called a young man's game for a reason.
Not if they get breh on that Vibranium :banderas:
There's enough time for little trip to Florida and Germany before camp starts :pachaha:
Shyt would be so legendary if he got back on the field tho :wow:

TO's ability to recover was/is other worldly breh..... on top of the fact he's on some next level shyt when it comes to working out.

This aint like it's JJ Stokes trying to make a comeback

Meh, he is 44, no way he could still play in the NFL but with that said. He still had a lot left in the tank.

If Al Davis were still alive he'd probably give TO a shot. There were rumours of him bringing back Jim Brown (at age 47), and he also asked Howie Long to come back and play just 15 snaps a game to make history (active HOFer).

Davis was with that fukkery so he would probably do it.

it wouldn't surprise me if the nfl had a team sign TO and they find a loophole and say he can't get into the HALL then the team cuts him so he can never make it :mjcry:

You dudes don't seem to realize there's more to making an NFL squad than running a straight line in shorts. He wasn't good enough to make the Seahawks years ago, why would he be good enough now?

Honestly a lot of that was due to rust, he was out for 2 years by then. He had only played 2 preseason games and was still getting separation, just couldn't haul in the passes. I don't think he would have been a 1000yd guy but he probably would have been good for 700+. They just didn't want to wait for him to shake the rust as well as deal with the headache also. It would be the same situation now, I think he'd be a serviceable 3rd option or a fringe 2nd option but I think he'd want more than that even though he says he's ok just being depth.

You can’t honestly tell me he’s not good enough to make a roster
He is. Dude is in incredible shape. I think his reputation is stopping him more than his ability.
