Ta-Nehisi Coates and Ezra Klein Hash Out Their Charlie Kirk Disagreement

The writer Ta-Nehisi Coates was harshly critical of my response to Charlie Kirk’s assassination. In an article in Vanity Fair, he suggested I was whitewashing Kirk’s legacy, comparing it to the whitewashing of the Southern cause after the Civil War. So I wanted to have Coates on the show to talk out our disagreement, as well as some deeper questions that I think exist underneath it about the work of politics. What should the left do about the fact that so many Americans share Kirk’s views? What kinds of disagreements should we try to bridge? When is that work moral and necessary, and when is it a betrayal?

Coates a soft shoe c00n, he talks real shyt just enough to keep credibility but he always backs down and capitulates to power. Wouldn’t no real nikka be friends with a p*ssy like Ezra Klein.
Is this a real criticism?
Because it seems like you’re bashing a guy for not being an uncompromising militant.

We see this a lot where the moment a person fails some arbitrary purity test, they get tossed aside

Same energy as this clip:

Some viewpoints aren't worth debating. Coates as usual is correct. Klein has far too many financial incentives tied up in acting like a moron for me to take him seriously on any political topic that affects anyone other than members of his race and class. Plus it's easier for him to make excuses for white males because, well, fukking look at him. If that clown gets a paper cut, the mf bleeds mayonnaise.

Listened and might have to tap out at 14 minutes. Ta-Nehisi talks about how Black Americans that are linked back to slavery have a life experience and family historically intrinsically linked to political violence which means more awareness of how widespread it is

Then Ezra's direct response is just saying that looking at too much history makes the present too deterministic and he basically wants to focus on why democrats lost in the past 12 years or so

fukk you bytch. you know how much Black pain Ta-Nehisi brought up there? And you just hand wave it and wanna focus on why the good whites are losing ground to the evil whites in elections? :pacspit::pacspit::pacspit::pacspit: its because TOO MANY OF YOUR RACE IN THIS COUNTRY ARE EVIL AND HOW THEY TREAT MINORITIES (AND GET AWAY WITH IT) DEMONSTRATES IT!!!!!
