Tablet Recommendation?

I'm thinking about getting a tablet for reading books, browsing the web from bed and watching movies/TV shows. I have Amazon Prime so I'm leaning toward one of the Fire HDXs... any thoughts? I've read that it's possible to install some of the Google apps on the Kindle which would be huge for me.
