I mean I look at it differently. No match is usually ever the same. Unlike single player it’s always the same. In online games it’s always a different strategy cause it’s a real person, who has his own play style, inpluses and skill level.

Do your thing tho, just speak stop speaking on sports games like u would know exactly what they changed.

The more I’ve marinated over this the more I’m convinced that if this isn’t a game changer I’m switching over to live. I barely play anymore as it is.

Only reason I stayed with 2k last year was cause they had me hyped about the new my career. That was garbage though.

They tied grinding to literal progression instead of rewards. Their target segment are 16-32 bit era gamers with disposable income who grew up being rewarded for hard work. Back then Beat the campaign to unlock bonus story, now it's buy the campaign and buy additional content you grew up expecting to be free.

In flies in the face of that segment for not being rewarded for their achievements.


Unless you count trophies and achievements.

This is the truth, and pretty much is why 2k and take two is able to charge for every little thing in myplayer.

I remember when I went into Gamestop to buy my copy of 2k18 and breh working there was like "for 20 bucks extra you can level up with 30k (or whatever) VC ?'

I was like "I rather get my vc the old fashioned way" Breh was just like " I respect it, you old school with it , now that little boy over there is going to have his mom buy the extra-VC copy"


As long as these kids/teens are able to pay for it, they going to charge. Gotta pay for nba2k tv somehow

and the modes that aren't heavy on micro-transactions literally receive no support...Like now for example NBA start now is broken and they likely won't fix it.

Yup, I mostly play this and nba start now has been terrible since the playoffs. No updates or anything.
