There is no reason for people to have gun. This isn't the 1700s, red coats aren't coming to your take your home. Miss me with the defend myself from the government shyt, if the law wants to come get you, they getting you. And double miss me with Hunting, you a p*ssy if you thinking shooting weaponless animals running in the woods is cool.
Sorry but this is just wrong.

Guns are for protection. You just saw this young man killed while doing seemingly nothing but standing there. Yes, certain ppl should not have guns, but the gun itself is just a tool. Now, should they be more expensive, that may be one way to control it.

But If a criminal comes into your element, threatening ur life and ur children etc, is the criminals life more important than yours?

I’m pretty sure the guy is saying guns shouldn’t be so easily accessible To the criminals you speak of…
It’s unrealistic, but I do agree with his overall sentiment

He specifically said no one needs a gun. There's nobody coming after you, the govt will overpower you and you don't need to be hunting.

That's what he said.

And I disagree with that.

the PNB talk died down because

1. they found the alleged killers

and because of that

2. it resolved many conspiracy theories as to how PNB Rock died.

the Takeoff stuff will linger on until someone's in custody. Generally this stuff comes and goes though because we see and hear about it too often now.

Nah that wasn't me saying that. That's @$cam-U-Well_Jack$on . I mistyped my mistake

I responded to him with this:

dunno.... This is gonna cause a definitely rift between them Mob Ties nikkahs and the ATL because if the Migos checked in and one of them died on their watch from their own... Its gonna be some funk

damn and mandem from the uk act like they’re so tough too.

“fake it till you make it” i guess 📝

We’re in a thread mourning somebody who died because of senseless violence, and you’re callin London folks ‘fake tough’ cause they don’t murder enough people:beli:

If yall really don’t see how the fan attitude around hip-hop contributes to this dumb shyt, then we’re lost for real.

This is factually incorrect though. Statistics on home gun ownership have shown a correlation to increased violence in the home. It drastically increases the probabilities and rates in which suicides, assaults, and accidental gun deaths occur.

It's why the "good guy with a gun" myth is such bullshyt. Having more guns available increases the likelihood of more people being shot or killed.

It's a cognitive dissonance based upon a false sense of power and control over the unknown, similiar to having a fear of flying and preferring to drive, even though statistically you're safer traveling by airplane than by car.

Breh, if we didn’t have a culture of guns, one, we have fewer criminals because they don’t have an invincibility complex due to having a gun to run up on you, or two, they run up on you with a knife or bat or their firsts, all which have a much higher survivability than guns, especially if you got another adult with you. Alll these other countries that don’t have 1.5 guns per citizen still have crime, but their criminals aren’t committing homicide because there aren’t a ton of guns on the street or available for legal ownership

I named the mass shooting because it was MUSIC related. Read before responding. Same goes for the concert that was bombed. Both happened around the same time.

Rappers are being killed, but these events are not MUSIC related. Being robbed outside of a motorsports shop, outside of a restaurant, a cookie shop is not happening at the studio or on stage. There's a difference. That is the contrast I was making.

I feel like that takes away from your point even more…

If rappers are dying like this ‘outside of music’ then doesn’t that show the culture in which they exist is more dangerous? If they can be killed on any day away from the studio / stage? Artists outside of hip-hop don’t seem to experience this issue.

How so? They are being killed at random places. Places that your everyday person is being shot and killed at. Ya'll blaming this on Hip Hop is idiocy, when it is scary for EVERYBODY especially those of us who are Black to even do normal activities.

You can turn this into an occupational hazard as if you have opps posted outside the recording booth, coming to the shows, etc. to off a rapper. There have been instances like Jam Master Jay and Dolla where something like that happened , but this recent string happened in situations where people are killed in everyday occurrences. That's the scary part about it. You wouldn't have to be a rapper to be killed in a restaurant, cookie shop, or a motorsports store.
