You know it's crazy how most of us don't get to meet/know these artists but they sort of become this staple of your daily routine. In 2014 I remember hearing Fight Night from them for the first time and having No Labels 2 on repeat all that summer. It was a welcome change (fun, mindless, easy to bop to) and they've just been in rotation ever since in all my music lists these last 8 years.

This one stings for sure. Can't imagine being Quavo right now. RIP Takeoff

song was the soundtrack to a few key moments in life for me that year, it stayed in rotation in the gym as i worked on dropping 30 lbs and it was on repeat at the club the last time i got white girl wasted/college level sloppy drunk...fun times.

How are those poor examples? Every time a rapper is killed, the logic is that they died because of violent music. If this is the case, how then, are artists who didn't make violent music dying violent deaths?

It doesn't make any sense because let The Coli tell it, Hip Hop is killing people and it's not people with guns.

When those artists like Gaye and Lennon died it was huge events.

When Pac died it was huge.

Rappers dying is regular now.

For sure. But if it turns out that the primary shots that killed Takeoff was from someone in their own camp (prior to the shots from the other party), then it's an entirely different story now. Probably why we aren't hearing too much yet. Imagine killing your own breh.
