^^^ everybody needs to really read that article and absorb it. It's musicians from all kinds of races and genres who were senseless murdered. A lot of these artists were iconic artists and many of them were murdered BEFORE rap even existed as a genre. Some of them were murdered while performing their occupation: music, yet I see people talking about rap is the most dangerous occupation as if rappers are getting killed at the shows, in the studio, or while performing or making music.

You all need to stop with this ridiculous narrative. Takeoff is dead. He didn't die over music. He caught a bullet that wasn't meant for him at a dice game. Breh is a whole human being and we got people in this thread talking down on Black people, rap music, and turning this into something it shouldn't be. I mean, I saw a post talking about lining people up and executing them. Yet ya'll wanna talk about how toxic the music is.
The way some of you superman for obvious issues in the culture is beyond me. Let me guess, rap is safe. The culture of hip hop music is safe. Nothing to worry about the bravado in our music constantly being exploited and positively reinforced.

Brain washed forreal. Justify the safety of rap music and the culture all you want. IDGAF, another rapper dead. Don't quote me..

:gucci:

Most of the rappers don’t get killed on the mic. With the lack of security cause they don’t want to be know as puzziez they are looked at as trophies.

At least they were using their hands.

Crazy it is that violent murder rates were higher in the 80’s and 90’s yet rappers weren’t dying like that. shyt has inexplicably sky rocketed in this decade.
Because all the street nikkas moved to rap

And street nikkas started rap but those back then used rap as a way to get out the streets…these nikkas get a platinum album and get deeper in them

Like what is the point of shooting dice with a bunch of common nikkas when you’re rich and famous? To show you’re tough ??? fukkin ridiculous

The fact that people are insinuating that a man dying in an illegal gambling event where multiple people were armed has something to do with rap music or cultural flaws is honestly mind boggling
Y’all never give the agenda some rest huh
This stupid ass post here

Music that promotes murder
And an artist that makes the music murdered
Yet it has nothing to do with the music :dead:

I love rap but aint no way imma pretend it is not a negative propaganda tool in many cases

Because it has nothing to do with Hip Hop or the kind of music created. Look at that list, those people were still murdered and they didn't make violent music.

Marvin Gaye made one of the greatest albums of all time in What's Going On. Powerful music that forced us to think about and analyze the world around us. He got murdered, but he sang about love. Sam Cooke? Murdered. John Lennon authored "Imagine". He was murdered. Peter Tosh. Murdered.
