Yes because you are going to hang out spots with people bring guns and are the typed of pop shyt off, if you choose to hang around these types of people these are the things you will go through eventually

I had to learn that the hard way to and was still going out to dangerous places with dangerous crowds because I didn't see that way at the time

after a certain point you have to realize the bullshyt for what it is and not being around, because for one, all these people ain't shyt to begin with, 2, you should have better shyt to do, like getting some rest or spending time with your family, fukk you wanna be around some hating ass fake ass bytch ass nikkaz for in the middle of the night, and the ain't shyt hoes that's tagging alone, its a waste of time
Bro the point I’m making is nowadays it’s so wild with the gun violence u can be anywhere and get shot. Takeoff was at a bowling alley party minding his business bruh.

Harry Styles and Grande don't go to places where you can get shot, that's a stupid analogy

if you hang out where street nikkaz hang out, there's a chance you can get shot

the boxer shakur stevenson who is signed with J Prince was literally right next to take off, he not involved in shyt, and could've easily taken that bullet just for being there like anybody else

if you don't associate with the streets you don't have to worry about the shyt, but if you around the bullshyt, you will get in the bullshyt

The original argument was that these killings are just happenstance and that the artist died at everyday locations. So which is it?

Oh really? Download the Citizens app real quick. Holla at me.

Rappers are dying at a disproportionately higher rate than normal citizens. And way higher than other celebrities while we’re at it. You really just sound like a Republican saying that gun violence happens everyday so what are we gonna do about it?

And this is the kind of dumb rhetoric I'm talking about. Breh, people get shot and killed outside of Waffle Houses. Shuffles occur regularly at Waffle Houses. I remember the jokes over "people are really fighting and getting shot over a sandwich from Popeyes". That shouldn't be normal, but those were regular occurrences. Tell me I'm wrong and I will post the proof.

There are a lot of rappers that don't have the problem either. You didn't name them. You didn't name other Pop stars like Beyonce or Rihanna. You went straight for the white ones.

The exact same logic applies to Beyoncé or Rihanna. Or Ari Lennox or fukkin Lizzo idc. My point is that rappers within a specific sub-section of hip-hop are more exposed to being victims of violence, even when they’re doing nothing wrong. Like I said, Dolph was getting cookies, XXX was shopping at a motor sports store. Pop Smoke was in his home. They weren’t doing anything that warranted or deserved violence.

You’re saying that violence happens everyday to everyday people, so we should just chalk it up to bad luck. But what happens when rappers are victims of violence at a way higher rate than your average person, artist, celebrity, etc?

To be clear, I’m not over here saying all hip-hop is toxic, or the culture is toxic. Because I don’t think that’s true. But we’re seeing a different rapper killed every month or so now it feels like. It didn’t feel like this even 10 years ago. I’m trying to figure out why? Because I hate it.

Breh, do you know crazy this sounds?

Rappers are not dying at a rate disproportionately to normal citizens. Do you know how many citizens actually die as a victim of homicide daily? Compare that to the number of rappers. They don't die at a higher rate. There is no data that supports that claim. If so, show me. People are killed daily doing regular, everyday activities.

nothing can bring him back but I’m praying for their sake he didn’t get killed by his own family. The pain their family already feeling would only be so much worse. They need each other right now. If it turns out their own family shot him, not only do they lose Takeoff, they lose each other. That’s the type of shyt that they’ll never be able to shake. Type of shyt that make a person commit that
That's what I've been thinking about alot in regards to this. If it ends up being their own breh who hit him (Mariners cap guy that pulled up with Quavo/Jas Prince) that will be a tough road ahead from all angles ie: Quavo's sister toward him for even having the argument to the point of escalation, the family in general toward the breh in their camp that possibly hit Takeoff in a friendly fire. Will be alot of blaming going around. Just sad shyt man.

and this is what's wrong with hip hop culture...i am not on the side of saying hip hop created the violence, but it's an art form where a good half-3/4 of the artists are judged by how much they're in the streets, and are expected to be and encouraged to be in the streets....even many of the "squares" have had to mix and mingle and/or prove how hard they are on wax.

it's the only genre where fans (and the artists) for dudes beating other crews down, being ten toes down on the block, etc after getting on. nah, how about we clap for them not coming back. if you're not in the area for an intentionally positive reason (even then, some of these rappers know they shouldn't be back in their hometowns), then just dont go. there's more ways to have fun away from the hood/hood nikkas than there are in the hood :ld:

Street Culture is not hip hop culture

Street nikkaz use to think rap was corny,

it wasn't until rappers started dressing like drug dealers, and getting all the attention from the hoes, that street nikkaz got into rap

It wasn't nothing hip hop going down at that bowling alley, these was just some nikkaz in some nikka shyt

only people who knows what happened are they people involved, I guarantee is nothing like what nikkaz is talking about they think happened

like I said, when you dealing with these type of people this is what you get

I remember on one them VH1 or MTV shows, they was following Jay-Z around, and he didn't move like these nikkaz, he was in out of the clubs, aware of his surroundings not trying to mingle with nikkaz that wasn't in his posse, went got Beans when he started to get some shyt and dipped

Migos is the biggest group in rap, they saying these nikkaz was bigger than bone, and the nikkaz moving like local rappers

because of the type of people at the party

this doesn't happen if beyonce has that same party in her hometown

these rappers gotta move more exclusively - the things you did and people you was with yesterday shouldn't be the things you do and people you're with today outside of your friends (yes, friends flip, etc. you can't 100% eliminated every risk, but you can eliminate a good 75-85% of unknowns). call it selling out, oh well, but skip being surrounded by trigger happy, chip on shoulders bozos (and don't have those types on your team)

The problem with many of the deaths of rappers in the past few years is that we've forgotten the most important lesson: moving smarter.

Once you reach a certain position in life, you gotta graduate from the silly stuff. If you want to keep people from the street in your crew, you better be able to put them in a position where they are not in the street anymore financially. Get everyone out of the old lifestyle. Keep good security around you - not people you just know that can carry. Stray shots like what happened to Takeoff wouldn't have happened if more skilled marksman around them. In fact, you gotta have de-escalators around you. You can't be arguing like this outside the bowling alley. If it's getting uncomfortable, then leave. Move smarter because you're making way too much money and have way too many people that depend on your money.

As for the dice games, leave that at home with your friends. Don't bring that energy into an upscale establishment. Don't bring Mob Ties and other crews into it. It just creates tension.

Also - this whole nonsense of "checking in" to cities has to stop.

If you're really claiming to be kings of a city, you'd want to be protecting any rapper and their crew. Leave the street stuff out of it.

From Nipsey to Pop Smoke to P&B, we really haven't learned our lessons.

This death was absolutely avoidable. And yet another instance where parents have to bury their children and not vice versa.

You’re one of the ones in here emotional as fukk arguing to the DEATH like people really give a damn about your views. But I’m unstable lol. nikka fukk YOU.
You obviously care enough to comment on it you unstable ass child …another example of how your emotional state leads you to not logically make sense :mjlol:

like I said before if you’re not mature enough to discuss these topics go sit your little kid ass at the little kids table and scram nikka ..you’re not stopping shyt with your emo outburst

The thing that weird is you supposed to move smart and have street sense/common sense regardless of your position in life

Most people dont

It wasnt smart for a broke regular nikka to be where he was let alone a million dollar rapper
