Takeover isnt a "better song" than Ether and Jay didnt "win the war"

I know its been super overdone on here but with drake/pusha it was brought up again on hot97 today. and few things they said which ive always hated that jay stans use to rationalize the loss.

One no its not an automatic " better song" , first of all theyre competing diss records. trying to deflect from that by saying takeover is a better song doesnt take away the fact jay lost. and why is it better? cause its more up tempo? cause kanye made the beat? (all he did was loop the doors anyway) ether was a beat made for a diss track, it wasnt supposed to be half a pop hit like back to back or some shyt.

Are we judging who raps better or who makes more money and who wifed up who? you should listen to Jay "what you eat dont make me shyt" if jay lost the song battle then he lost. thats like saying , well thew rockets won the title in 95 but shaq became more famous than hakeem so he won the war. nah

the other fallacy "nas just told gay jokes, jay had facts" no jay had opinion not facts. its not a fact that nas albums were mediocre, thats opinion. also gay jokes have been part of battle rap since it began. you almost cant name a classic diss track that didnt call the other person gay. suddenly now you need to be on some elegant shyt to diss? foh jay stans

i dont really think winning the war is a thing. Or if it is thats fine but its used as a deflection from Jay losing the battle. As far as why he won the battle. its all opinion but if someone thinks jay won id rather they just make the case he won but since the public perception is mostly he lost head to head with the songs, they try to deflect with this winning the war which to them means well jay has more money and beyonce

I hate how Hov has convinced people that he only spoke facts and that Takeover was the better "song" as if that matters. Simple question: if Hov won why was he crying to Angie Martinez afterwards? Why has "ether" become a recognized verb in slang (as in "he ethered him")? Why did Jay rush out a (wack) response?
