Tales of xillia or kingdom hearts 1.5 hd

no i was just saying why people think the game is good since the above poster didn't see why. i enjoy the games but i don't count the series as some type of greatly anticipated top tier RPG even if others do. the thing that gets me is a game like Final Fantasy XIII comes out and gets criticism for things wrong with it that Kingdom Hearts also has.

Kingdom Hearts "world" are very small and linear many of them don't have "HD Towns" and there isn't much exploration to be had. The game is also pretty linear, you can tackle the plot in different orders but for the most part you won't be strong enough to beat a given world unless you do them in a specific order also add to this the plot doesn't make any type of sense even if people properly explain it to you.

XIII had many of those problems and people defecated on it but Kingdom Hearts games have those problems and people ignore them because of Disney worlds that are like 10 rooms big.

Kingdom Hearts is loved cuz of the merging of Disney and FF characters. Otherwise, if it were a game with some random ass characters people would call it garbage.
And it had the cute J-pop theme song intro

I agree. Its the cheese factor that draws people into KH. Remove Donald,Mickey, Kari, and Goofy. And replace em with Waka or Tidus. People would probably call it the worst Square game of all time.

Cop Kingdom Hearts 1.5... fascinating story imo.. People calling the plot gibberish is understandable because Square did this thing with the series where they stupidly seperated all of the important cannon plot points between all of the games
KH1(ps2 dropped in '02)
KH chain of memories (Gameboy Advanced in 04)
KH 358/2 days (Nintendo DS in 09)

Most people thought handheld titles like chain of memories and 358/2 were just spin-offs but they were essential to remotely understanding the plot for the KH2 btw(and some of kh1). and the spinnoffs didn't drop until after KH2 so when nikkas first popped the game in (kh2) they were completely lost

Luckily for the TS.. All of the games (KH1, COM, and 358) are put together on one disk... and their supposedly gonna do the same for 2.5 (KH2, Birth By Sleep and Coded) I advise anyone interested in the upcoming KH3.. they should run through 1.5 and 2.5 first.. Trust me

Im not really a jrpg fan. Dont think ive pkayed any in a while, ps1 days.

I bought both of these because I wanted to get back in the genre as I felt the fps genre is played. I dont understand how people still like that shyt.

Anyway I decided to start with tales of xillia. I honestly found it confusing at first because its been so long since I played any jrpgs. But after a few hours I got the hang of it snd Im enjoying myself.

I see ps3 has a pretty good selection of jrpgs available. What would you guys recomnend I also grab? Looking to probably grab two or three more to add to my backlog to play through. I also picked up the mass effect triology for 20 bucks. Never gone through em before. Also the first dragon age with dlc for five bucks.

I got a local mom and pop video game store near me. They still do rentals as well. I been eating off them for 20 years.

Tales of Xillia 2 is coming out in two months and it's infinitely better than it's predecessor.
