Is this game ass?

I loved Vesperia and enjoyed Abyss.

Its a flawed but solid game. Its biggest issues slap you right out the gate so if you're still playing after a few hours know that it stays at that level or gets better. #1 complaint is the camera - which is outdated. In interiors, you have to actively work against it at times. After that, its the convoluted equipment system that in many ways trumps leveling. That's preeeeeetty much all of the bad shyt.

Its not a great game, but considering its always on sale... you can get pretty decent value out of it. Its a hit or miss entry in the tales series though.

That point in Tales games where people have to learn how to play just focus on surviving breh. Keep your attacks tight and super up whenever you can - also use that to heal as well.

Honestly, Rose is PROBABLY better than Sorey too.

I can't seem to stagger him reliably once he starts winding up for instant kill attack.

I survive long enough to get him to that time,even shot him twice in that stage but I can't seem to stagger him very often to get the opportunity.

Is there some trick to staggering him to shoot him?

It really shouldn't be an instant kill attack. Gear check

also, go down the list of his weaknesses - i'm sure you are, but make sure your teammates are making sense out there too. Its more important that they stay alive than do damage in zestiria. its hard life when the enemy focuses you and they're just dumb when it comes to putting down damage reliably too

Took your advice and used rose and focused everybody on defense while I attacked one of his paws

Tales generally has decent all-around casts.

Except Graces. Dear lord I wanted them all dead in a plane crash aside from Pascal

The trolling in the F portion of the game more than makes up for it. Malik and Richard just cut loose at that point.

The F portion was close to great imo

I would've taken a whole game of that. Villain was legit too.

Xillia and Graces are the last two I tried and I wasn't feeling them

It wasn't crushing buildings or anything, but I thought it was better than Xillia 1 and 2. @winb83 hated it but I thought it was aite

for cheap? its a great game. At release it was ehhhhhhhhhhhhhh but I still enjoyed it.

I didn't hate it at all. The game is pretty bland though. Not great or bad but acceptable.
