I always thought Talib was dope. He still might be, it's just...

:patrice:

I just don't feel like listening to Talib Kweli in 2015.

I think pretty much since Beautiful Struggle, aside from the odd song here and there, everything he's put out has been "meh", and I've listened to it all.

:yeshrug:

I'll give the 9th collabo album a try as I do with everything else, but he's one of those dudes where if he just stopped rapping for 3-5 years I wouldn't notice he was missing from the game.

Talib Kweli and 9th Wonder are two of the most respected names in independent hip-hop.

The two are finally linking up for a project titled “Indie 500,” though judging by the tracklist, it appears to be more of a compilation than an actual album.

When the album was announced, many probably assumed that Kweli would be handling most of the mic duties, while 9th Wonder would be producing a bulk of the tracks. That is not the case.

9th Wonder only produces four tracks on the 13-song project, but those songs do look impressive. On one of the tracks, Talib Kweli will be joined by Slug (of Atmosphere) and Pharoahe Monch.

“Indie 500″ has impressive cast of both rappers and producers including Nottz, Hi-Tek, Rapsody, Khrysis, Brother Ali and others.

The project will be released on Nov. 6.
