if big boi, never became the highest selling ramped up skill group member in rap history.
talib could possibly have some type of foothold in that argument.
yet, big boi did ramp up and also has a higher output in quality of song as a solo artist than kweli.
plus, big boi, ramped up and solidified his skill set first completely.
before partaking in a solo career.
whereas talib rode the coattails of mos and a production quality vet in hi Tec From mood.
where he never carried the hi Tec production in the same manner as big boi carried his production team.

I could see if talib was this great battle guy on reel to reel with an overly advanced skill set.
yet, he is not and culturally.
big boi has cemented his standing a lot higher than kweli via skill.
if kweli was an under rated skills guy with no technical flaws.
I could see his stance having merit.
yet, he is not a next level talent technical skill wise.
plus, never applied himself to be one either.
when, he could have and is from the Mecca and borough where he has no excuse.

but seriously, rap and bomani are things you just dont mix. he's a downsouth apologist to the san andreas fault. few years ago i was listening to his old radio show and he was dancing on nas grave using big krit as the measuring stick. i like krit and all (mixtape krit, anyway), but you could just hear the joy in his voice tryna convince himself nas wasnt as relevant as some guy talking about collard greens and whiskey.
