I see it like this for Talib, and some of the other funny style artists who hovered in that subgenre/space of hip hop.
I've attended shows and events in that circle. One of the few hip hop spheres that you can attend events with your woman.
No wolves, limited chance of violence. Great for fans and the acts ability to book and complete shows.
But with wolves around, in entourages ....people learn who they are , and stay in their places. Funny style behavior gets checked very early. These dudes have moved funny style without being checked in real life, and it carried over into their internet personas. Kweli, the Roots drummer, and a bunch of them.

It was on their midnight Miracle podcast. I can’t recall which episode. It’s an excellent podcast. I subbed for $5 listened to all the Midnight Miracle episodes and then canceled.

Most of the time he is on the right side. He is usually arguing with right wing adjacent cacs who like the music, but have problems with rappers talking about black issues.
My objection is with giving these low lives attention in the first place. They are nobodies and not deserving of a back and forth with someone who has actually accomplished something.

You summed it up pretty good. A lot of people look at them as some pro-black culture pushers but they be off-code and doing nikkas greasy and that’s what fukks me up. I mean I can understand him going at Ye because Ye straight clowned him.
Its basically Dave/Mos/ and Talib’s podcast all together. Its called the Midnight Miracle and its pretty dope. They all have some really good conversations and Talib comes off chill and down to earth on the podcasts I have no idea why he suddenly morphs into a psychopath when he hits social media.
