The Taliban is a cartel. All the Islamic stuff is a vehicle for them to control the population. SW Afghanistan’s population shares the same culture and ethnicity as eastern Iran. They’ve tried for years to push into Iran but hit the mountains and get melted every time. I don’t know why they want the smoke with Iran, they won’t wear kid gloves and no one will have the taliban’s back.

Last time i checked, they were getting lit up whenever they tried to do anything resembling fighting us head on. They were an insurgency that was helped not only by the corruption and fecklessness of the Afghan state, but also by Pakistan allowing them to regroup in their country and help from their intelligence services. Not as simple as "Taliban STRONG, U.S. WEAK!".The American military was unable to defeat the Taliban.

The World wouldn’t look the way it does geopolitically if they were. It would be much more in favor of us instead of us begging OPEC to open the spout every time gas hits 4.00

Both are correct it may seem like the countries are similar and the people are but working with them has taught me a lot. Afghans are closer to Pakistan people than any group as far as relations.
