Most Dollar Generals I've been to only have one self-lane and people don't use it out of confusion of typing in their number and using a card themselves.

There's a method to this madness. Retail stores know that they are losing money with self checkout and high amounts of stealing

And a plus side is that it does bring back more available jobs in retail now :ehh:

So they gonna hire more cashiers and floor staff since pretty much all the household cleaning and beauty/body care items are locked up?

Are yall going to boycott target and walmart? Didnt think so,you will wait and you will love it:mjgrin:

Self checkout shouldve always been 10 items or less. I think they are just figuring out what they shouldve figured out from the jump.

The more items the more chances for people to "miss" scanning something. And the more items on the receipt, the harder for the door person to catch it. The more items, the more likely for people to mess up ,have to call for help and back the line up. If you keep it to 10 items or less you wouldve never needed to have that many in the first place probably.

I have pretty much abandoned target since they started being out of stock on half the stuff I’m looking for, the lockup put it over. Costco and Amazon get all my monies now

This is new to me. Where I’m from and where I’m at it wasn’t really a thing. Recently was in Cali visiting family though. Went in Target and Walmart for household stuff and liquor and spent so much time trying to track down people to open glass doors. Shxt was beyond frustrating. Walked out of multiple stores. Got to the point I started doing Instacart orders to the house and I’m not even into getting everyday stuff delivered.
