Maybe I'm threading a needle here, but single parent homes are a bad thing. Something went wrong. However coming from a single parent home isn't a bad thing; the child who came from the single parent home didn't do anything wrong, but- but he/she was done a disservice. That's the problem I have with "b*stard". It's accurate, but does nothing to put the blame where it belongs: with the at least one of those parents and maybe society at large.
