Anyone who has followed Tariq Nasheed can tell when he became an agent. Last year he specifically began working for Elon Musk to promote Trump and stop black people from voting.

This is evidenced by Twitter promoting his spaces to the point they were getting over 100k people in them leading up to the election.

He hasn’t came close to that number since and has since moved over to TikTok, coincidentally (not really) at the same time the new right wing owners have taken over.

The excerpts posted from his books in this thread show that he is a sick person willing to say or do anything for money. The audacity of him to attack an 80 year old historian and professor (although he himself is almost 60) for stating his beliefs is not unexpected.

He is an agent backed right wing media so he has no choice but to go all in and attack his own people now.

Riq is getting money from someone. The amount of times he double backed on his own statements and the blanket characterization of other black/African folks in his purview is nasty work.

I say it as someone who listened to him quite a bit until 2017, and started listening to him in his earliest days before most people knew him. He changed, and not in a way that shows enlightenment. When you lack integrity like that, you're getting a check cut from somewhere.

A person being rich or making films has nothing to do with political seriousness or movement-building. It just show he knows how to extract money from people who mistake self-promotion for leadership.

Calling out trolls on livestreams isn't fighting white supremacy, especially when he spreads MAGA conspiracies and attacks Africans and Black Americans who disagree with him, using the same slurs and stereotypes as those white supremacists.

The fact that you think he's the loudest voice against white supremacy, or that nobody understood lineage or ethnicity before he came along, just shows how deep you are in the personality cult. Tariq didn't invent our history, he just monetized it. And none of the theatrics you're pointing to change the reality of his behavior or the chaos he creates.

And I'm going to say this clearly again: I have never rejected lineage. I reject the dysfunctional branding and personality cult around Tariq. If you can respond to that with something other than slogans, do it. Otherwise, you're proving my point for me.
