My only criticism of Tariq's take on Ron Clark is that there is a lot more going on at his school than dancing.

Is he getting results academically?

Are those black children and parents benefitting from the education they getting at his academy?

If so, then if you work hard than you should play hard. If all those girls are getting great grades, are happy, protected, and enjoying their school, let them have fun.

I resent the idea that black people aren't allowed to have "fun" or enjoy ourselves in public. I think it's a mindset that's difficult to get rid of because we face so many daily attrocities I.e. racism, underemployment, over incarceration, etc. So there's this undrlying idea that we aren't entitled to fun until all our woes r resolved. But that's an unfair burden to place on someone. Black ppl are just as entitled to have to a good time as anyone else. We can laugh, joke, dance, goof off, be loud and silly as we see fit and regardless of whose around. Who is this guy or anyone else to take away or condemn someone for trying to have a good time. The pursuit of happiness is a human and God given right and black ppl deserve that just as much as anybody else, if not more.

These are deflections because the "black people dance too much/long for white acceptance" point is much broader then those particular girls. The second post is just too stupid to even take seriously. Nobody has said that black people cant have fun. The loin is that all blacks want to do is have fun. Those girls are behind their white counterparts whether they're getting good grades or not.

That video reps a much bigger problem that blacks have. All whites have to do is pretend to be interested in things that are associated with us and blacks get giddy. You bring up results and all that, well people didn't bother to check on the results that this teacher is producing before they busted nuts over the video did they? Just seeing a white man do ignorant jigs with a bunch of young black girls was enough to hail him teacher of the year to a lot of black folks. That's the point. You should pose this "what about the results?" question to those who are all giddy over the video.

Nothing wrong with our people dancing because having rhythm is great, however when i see black folks quick to clown other black folks for dancing while praising cacs and dancing with them it makes me sick. I'm not speaking on Tariq i'm talking about those c00ns who think Timberfake & Bieber are "down with us".
