If anything, Tariq does what he says, and he has done that four times now. Compare that to guys like Tommy Sotomayor who straight up scammed people out of their money several times.

Also, those documentaries that he's making are not cheap. Are you saying he should release them all for free? Or that he shouldn't be making money from his film projects that he created and kicked off?

He has followers (clearly on the coli) so therefore he is a leader whether he likes it or not

2) He's fukking up in perpetuity with these types of videos. He should have completely devoted his whole public persona to being an advocate for our community and kick this ghetto ass gutter street shyt to the curb.

Those that see him as a leader...that's on them. If the man says he doesn't want that title, but people keep on trying to tag that title on him, they are setting themselves up for disappointment. It is what it is.

Personally, I've first heard of Tariq over 10 years ago via his books. His evolution to where he was to where he is now is actually a lot more organic that a lot of people think. Anyone who followed his Mack Lessons radio show knows that every once in a while he would talk about race and politics. That he ended up where he is, especially in light of everything that happened in the past eight years, is not too surprising.

Hidden Colors isn't a charity production idiot, its a documentary. For sale like the thousands of other documentaries on the market. How much money do those white produced and directed documentaries on African American history create for the black community? How much did Speilberg give back to the African community for making Amistad?

If he didn't see himself as a leader--especially a thought leader--he wouldn't invest as much time talking to his flock every Sunday.

He would reject opportunities to go on national television to defend his ideas.

Entertainers just create for public consumption. They don't spend a tremendous amount of time defending and articulating their ideas with their flock!
