I saw it, it was good, everybody needs to go see it or buy the dvd

nitpicks: i kinda wished he had gone into more details about the battles and the chronology and geography of the battles (that could be cuz i watch too many WWII docs) , wyclef got to much shine, black people should not send a delegation to mexico lol, i cant believe tariq put that in

the best part was him going into detail about the major characters aside from toussaint, that was very dope and informative

This movie should be watched by every Black man once and every Black woman twice. It's that real

Straight up. There were a few people in tears after the film. The entire theater erupted in applause at the end of the movie. This film was really important for black people to see especially in the current climate were in.

I really think that Tariq produced/made this film as a way to covertly tell black people to wake up and get on some revolutionary shyt just like the Haitians did. Y'all know he got the fe.dz tappin his shyt and monitoring him heavy, so he can't flat out just come out and tell black people to get on that revolutionary time. But this film was a way to say it without saying it. I know some of y'all cats feel me on this

How was it relevant to Aframs

It was very relevant...although the movie focused primarily on Haiti it discussed the parallels of slavery in North America and how after Haiti independence, many of the French soldiers went to Louisiana and instilled more brutal forms of treatment as a consequence and fear of black uprising in North America. Also talked about Du Sable of Chicago and his influence.

A solution involves multiple strategies, even the ones that seem like an obvious fail could lead to a lead that gives us leverage even if that leverage isn't monetary.

Most of your sayings coming from white supremacist action. Merry go round and round, spooky, spade a spade, paper, rock, scissors. Little do Black people know, this is coded. Black people really have to wake up.

Most of us so deep to sleep in white supremacy, we don't realize this ain't for us.

Excellent film. Format was like Hidden Colors, but the reenactments and acted scenes added a lot. The illustrations were well done, too. Salute to Flex. Met him last night. Super cool brother. Had to keep it moving, that FOI security looked like they would do you bad if you lingered too long lol.
