Now if Tariq was allowing those big donors to get something monetary for their investment (like white groups do... ut oh) then we're talking. But no, this is just hustling the people IMO and I support Tariq outside of his donation schemes.

He had people wanting to invest in MoorUS and he shut it down quick. "Nah playa, we need lawyers and all that if you want to invest. And we're not talking any major paper playa to do all that."

If he played fair he could have easily raised a few M's for MoorUs with all the black athletes and entertainers who would love to be on the ground floor of something like that. But alas, it doesn't fit his solo capitalist scheme.

if you don't know any rich investors how else are you suppose to get funding

also those investors are rich and lose money films the majority of the time in hopes one of them would recoup their losses

also the Producers get money from these groups call all the shots and have creative control over the entire project

none of tariq's movies would've been made under these circumstances
