This is a random thought but one thing I've noticed is that a lot of Tariq's haters will call him a "hotep". All of you OG real listeners will recall that Tariq is actually the one who started using the word hotep probably over a decade ago to describe conscious scammer types. (think of damon wayans "oswald bates" character on "In Living Color", the guy in jail who would always misuse big words). His haters call him a Hotep not knowing that he was the first person to use the word in that way. So even the muthafukkas who hate him still bite his lingo.
I'd also say that he was the one to re popularize the use of the word "c00n" in like 2011 or '12. Of course the word was around long before that but you didn't hear people use it as much it seems until he started using it a lot on his show around the time when he started focusing more on race relations and less on dating.
