he admits to being a hustler....i have no problem with him...he creates a product and sell it, and its a legit product from the standpoint it actually teaches ppl...i mean he could be pimping black girls or selling dope and guns. hes a business man that sell something legit.
black people think any black person thats doing well is up to no good....why do yall buy nikes, were they have sweat shops or eat GMO popeyes chicken and then get mad at him for putting out DvDs that his fanbase want?
btw im no way shape or form a tariq fan...i respect him but thats where it ends, i have my own thoughts....

He didn't suddenly move into being pro-black. He always talked about black issues. One of his earliest shows is called ''c00ning'' and that was when he started the macklessons podcasts. He used to criticise shows like the Flavor of Love etc. He was more game heavy but it's not like he wasn't his current self. You have no idea what you're talking about.
He definitely is a hustler but I don't think he's this ''race pimp''. He has a genuine interest in the subject but he just has a gift for monetising whatever he's into. His grind is crazy

Hes saying dude is not genuine about what he preaches and that he is using what works to make a profit. He is not knocking his hustle..he is saying the dude is a convenient hustler
Tariq exploits race issues for profit. Not saying he doesn't care about black issues, but just in a way that is convenient to his bottom line. He makes some good points now and then, he's funny, and he's charming, but in all honesty I don't really see how he's any different than these mega church preachers who prey on the weak minded for financial gain.
I think there is a glaring difference in that Tariq doesn't ask for your money and promise that you will become prosperous just in that action alone. My question to you or the coli users with a similar view on Tariq is it ever ok to make any amount of money from presenting this type of informaiton/message or does it always have to be on the presenter/messenger's own dime. If it's ok to make money off of doing this is there an amount where you draw the line and label the presenter a charlatan?

This is what I struggle with, and honestly I think this is at the root of my skepticism with Tariq. Racism continues to exist because of capitalism. It legitimizes the burdens of capitalism (unequal distributions of income, poverty, unemployment, etc.). All of the inconsistencies that result from a system we are told is the road to prosperity. A system we are told is completely fair, and honest. But it isn't. Race has been repurposed by capitalism by sectioning off people into intrinsically different subgroups that those who defend capitalism can then explain why they benefit, and why others are burdened by it. Race is then blamed as the factor responsible for these unequal distributions rather than the capitalist system, itself. So its difficult for me to see someone like Tariq using race issues in a similar way these employers, politicians, academics and journalists would to make money. All under the guise of black empowerment. He just seems like another leech, to me. A parasite feeding off of a corrupt system that disenfranchises the very people he's claiming he is trying to help.

I respect your perspective. I personally feel that we have to be realistic about the cost of bringing this type of information to the masses, and the key is educating people about economics so they can more easily separate those with completely self-serving purposes from those who do not.

Why do you nikkaz try continue to try to put Tariq in a leader role and then discredit him for being a former gang member/pimp. He has said countless times that he is a businessman. Just because he speaks against White Supremacy doesn't mean he is trying to be some holier than thou black leader.
