i bolded some that i believe to be true.

i want to address all the bolded but i wont, just answer me this. do you really believe this shyt:

"I do not have to worry about the daily hassles of being terrorized by the fear of gaining weight. In fact, in many instances bigger is better for my sex"

just like any bizarro community, BW are praised for being big. we're the only community that will shyt on a woman for being skinny.

and i dont think the person who wrote that understands the meaning of privilege. most of those (even the ones your bolded) are just opinions, not privileges.

"When it comes to sex if I say "No", chances are that it will not be mistaken for “Yes"."

stuff like this i dont understand. you tell a woman no and she'll damn near rape you. if you let her know you're serious with that no, they'll call you all types of homosexuals and fakkits. :heh: do they even try to look at the flipside?

Oh yeah, Western Black society will never prosper :snoop:

What is the goal of "black feminism"?

"Feminism" is inherently racist and an extension of white supremacy IMHO.

White women don't want equality to men...they want a piece of that white supremacist pie, complete with all of the power and privileges that come from it. They know where their bread is buttered.

The only thing I see from "black feminism" is just outright hatred towards black men and a self-destructive mentality. The tagline needs to be "Nikkas ain't shyt!" Cause that's all I see.

Yes, equality in the workplace, equal opportunity footing, etc...there are (some) good aspects of feminism that are neccessary for a functional society...but "black feminism" is just playing into the hands of white supremacy...promoting dysfunction in the black community and further instability.

I will be honest...I'll be surprised if we even make up more than 10% of the country in a couple of decades with the way things are going.

These sisters already have given us so many excuses as to why we ain't shyt and seem like they are more than eager to throw away the key and just stop f*cking with us altogether. The house already has a shaky foundation...all it takes is one gust of wind for it to fall down completely.

It's bad enough everyone else hates us...do we really need our own women doing the same?

It all plays into their games perfectly...once black men are out of the picture...these sisters will just end up marrying/dating out and breeding themselves out in a couple of generations. It's a shame to think that "black feminism" is not leading to stronger black communities...but NO black communities at all. And no black people at all in America.

All apologies to who this comment might of offended...but the writing is on the wall.

No shade to my black queens out there...but I'm already seeing black men just being completely made irrelevant and I have to say something. The dominant society does not want black people to succeed. They want black men/women/people to die off...it's a damn shame some of these sisters are helping the devil do his dirty work.

Somewhere tropic...
The Black Male Privileges Checklist
Leadership & Politics

  1. I don't have to choose my race over my sex in political matters.
  2. When I read African American History textbooks, I will learn mainly about black men.
  3. When I learn about the Civil Rights Movement & the Black Power Movements, most of the leaders that I will learn about will be black men.
  4. I can rely on the fact that in the near 100-year history of national civil rights organizations such as the NAACP and the Urban League, virtually all of the executive directors have been male.
  5. I will be taken more seriously as a political leader than black women.
  6. Despite the substantial role that black women played in the Civil Rights Movement and Black Power Movement, currently there is no black female that is considered a "race leader".
  7. I can live my life without ever having read black feminist authors, or knowing about black women's history, or black women's issues.
  8. I can be a part of a black liberation organization like the Black Panther Party where an "out" rapist Eldridge Cleaver can assume leadership position.
  9. I will make more money than black women at equal levels of education and occupation.
  10. Most of the national "opinion framers" in Black America including talk show hosts and politicians are men.
    Beauty

  11. I have the ability to define black women's beauty by European standards in terms of skin tone, hair, and body size. In comparison, black women rarely define me by European standards of beauty in terms of skin tone, hair, or body size.
  12. I do not have to worry about the daily hassles of having my hair conforming to any standard image of beauty the way black women do.
  13. I do not have to worry about the daily hassles of being terrorized by the fear of gaining weight. In fact, in many instances bigger is better for my sex.
  14. My looks will not be the central standard by which my worth is valued by members of the opposite sex.
    Sex & Sexuality

  15. I can purchase pornography that typically shows men defile women by the common practice of the "money shot.”
  16. I can believe that causing pain during sex is connected with a woman's pleasure without ever asking her.
  17. I have the privilege of not wanting to be a virgin, but preferring that my wife or significant other be a virgin.
  18. When it comes to sex if I say "No", chances are that it will not be mistaken for “Yes".
  19. If I am raped, no one will assume that "I should have known better" or suggest that my being raped had something to do with how I was dressed.
  20. I can use sexist language like bonin’, laying the pipe, hittin-it, and banging that convey images of sexual acts based on dominance and performance.
  21. I can live in a world where polygamy is still an option for men in the United States as well as around the world.
  22. In general, I prefer being involved with younger women socially and sexually
  23. In general, the more sexual partners that I have the more stature I receive among my peers.
  24. I have easy access to pornography that involves virtually any category of sex where men degrade women, often young women.

Is her tweet much different from what many black parents tell their children? Turn the radio down if the police stop you, keep your hands on the wheel, don't make any sudden movements, don't put your hands near your pockets, if you're in a store don't touch anything you aren't going to buy, etc.

That's how my parents raised me. Is it victim blaming mentality? Sure. But is it reality for a black man in America? Yes. I don't see how her being a feminist has anything to do with it.

Nah...that quote is 100% c00n shyt.

Basically...she's telling us blacks to "fear the white man" "fear white supremacy" and live life in fear.

the keyword is FEAR.

No one should have to feel afraid of the people who are paid to "protect and serve". But due to numerous cases of police brutality, wanton abuse of authority, violence against innocent civilians who happen to have some melanin in them, it's not surprising people have their qualms.

Black people like that are f*ckin slaves. I guess every black man, woman, and child who ever got abused by the police need to shut the f*ck up and get over it too in her words. We don't need people like that...they are agents. They are basically dismissing the wrongs of white supremacy and the justice system.

privilege
a right, immunity, or benefit enjoyed only by a person beyond the advantages of most:

95% of what your citing aren't privileges: This sounds bitter and a lazy Google search response, not gained from personal experience. IF you can't develop your own thoughts on this topic...:camby:
i already have. you asked for further proof so i supplied that. maybe you should read up on some bell hooks, and angela davis. look at the list with a non-biased eye. while all of that list is not true, there are things that ring true on that list.

personal?
As a male, I have never had to worry about being raped
As a male, to insult my malehood, people will insult with female based derogatory terms (bytch p*ssy etc)
As a male, I have never had to worry about a woman grabbing my dikk unsolicited in public
As a black male, I cannot relate to the systematic rape that women from slavery times and beyond went through at the hands of white men
As a black male, it is more socially acceptable for me to abandon my children than women
As a black male, I do not have to worry about the angry black woman stereotype, or have my sexuality questioned because of my profession
As a black male, I can have a white wife and think my opinion on black american affairs is still valid
As a black male, I don't have to worry about being foced into sex because of going on a date with a woman who paid
As a black male, independence was something that was inherent- for black women, independence is still something they strive for
As a black male, I have more positive black male figures on TV/media

i'd dismantle this entire list but i'd rather have that discussion with the person who wrote it. :heh:
This. I honestly didn't even bother reading the list.

I have read Peggy McIntosh's writings on "white privilege" and broken each point down. That shyt is real.

Case in point...in a society with one dominant class over another...the non-dominant class will not be seen as first class citizens. No matter what.

Black men have NO privileges in America. Hell..I'd argue that black women have MORE privileges than us. Which is still not that much.

Y'all forgetting we didn't even have basic rights in this country till slavery ended in 1964.

Yeah, I know it didn't end in 1964...but it's 100% figurative.

Cause at the end of the reconstruction with black laws/codes that specifically targeted freed slaves to indentured servitude, black people being shunned from participating in the first wave of New Deal government assistance programs, jim crow laws, segregation, etc...can it even be argued that the dominant society of this country was trying to keep us in that sort of position?

I sense many black men on these boards really want to wish or pretend that racism doesn't exist and that America doesn't run on white supremacy and still lead their pseudo-americanized lifestyle, especially some coming from really white areas...but it's not possible and it's time to accept. We only have money and what it can do for us...and that's it. Other than that...all we got is us.

This society is not run by us. It's not for us. Our presence and influence in this society just helps the dominant class continue to thrive and prosper while we...don't.

1. Tell that to the nikkas in prison that aren't down with any set group.
2. Women refer to weak men as "bytches" and "p*ssy's" all the time.
3. Buck breaking happened regularly in the seasoning plantations and unlike when our sisters were raped buck breaking happened in front of the entire plantation. This is how I know you just talking shyt.

4. Black men get shyt all the time for not fathering their kids.
5. The "Angry Black man" is a stereotype and a lot of Black men in professional settings curb themselves and their emotions so they dont feed into it. That's the reason why Obama doesn't put his foot down with these cac's. What profession do women have where we assume they are lesbians?
6. Black men with white wives don't hold no weight on african american affairs. No one is listening to van jones, or larry elder.
7. No, Black women wanted independence from BLACK MEN. You're confusing standing on your own two feet as a man and providing for yourself and your family as "independence"
8. There are almost no positive Black males on television, and for every 1 there is there's 100 negative ones.
