I have no expectation either way honestly. Could be a recast Tchalla,Coogler could pass the role to his boy Michael B Jordan, could be Shuri. In the comics I believe all 3 things have happened at sone point. So why get upset about one movie thats technically still canon? As if Tchalla cant easily be killed off in a way he could return later like in many comic book/fictional movies:mjlol:. If Robert Downey wanted back in,they would find a way to write his ass back in too.

Writing Robert Downey Jr. back in as T'Challa (Tropic Thunder style) is the most ridiculous alternative storyline possibility I've seen.

And if you've been paying attention most people don't think he's going to be permanently killed off in the MCU either. They're either going to have a multiverse version come in or his son will take over his mantle. Possibly even both. They just didn't want to do it right away, they wanted to do a tribute to Chadwick's passing first.

No one has "erased T'Challa's legacy". He was supposed to star in the first three movies but then real-life shyt happened. How will the "erase" his legacy in the movie when it's clear a substantial portion of this movie will be about honoring his legacy?

And struggling to see where you come up with them "erasing black men as leaders in its entirety". That's completely manufactured. Rumors are M'Baka is going to become the King of Wakanda and that another Black man is going to be set up to take on the Black Panther mantle for the 3rd movie. Nick Fury is still the leader of S.H.I.E.L.D. and is getting his own series, Secret Invasion. Falcon has been elevated to the Captain America role as is going to be the lead in Captain America 4 after coming off of his own movie. Blade in the lead in his own movie, War Machine is the lead in his own series, and Kang is going to be the lead villain and potentially the most powerful person in Marvel history when they do Avengers: Kang Dynasty.

Anthony Mackie is the new Captain America but they’re trying to erase black men from Marvel :dead:

dont really have to. they rectified that with the quickness. then again, being bp in the comics now is like being spit on and called a bytch by your subjects

:what:. Women are nearly half the reader base of comic books and therefore half the target audience.

nikkas still think this is 1967. :mjlol:

"72% of purchases in comic shops are by men, with 30-50 year olds the largest age category; 59% of purchases in chain stores are by men, with 13-29 as the largest age category for both men and women; 67% of online purchases are by men, and for both men and women, the largest group is 13-20-year-olds." -For 2021

If thats the permanant move I dont like it at all either. But that remains to be seen. Maybe this is simply a movie dedicated to the actor, while still respecting canon. They could use this movie to memoralize Chadwick before ultimately recasting. I cant be mad at that if its well done.

I dont even take issue with people who are just fans of the character and only want to see Tchalla as BP. But politicizing this, creating gender divides,,and creating narratives of Coogler making a movie that is anti black men is highly disrespectful imo. Especially considering the mans track record. If black men will tarnish his good name like that, whos safe:picard:?
All signs including statements from the cast, director, producer and executive producer all say TaChalla is dies in WF and wont be recast.

If this is all an elaborate misdirection to hide a recasting surprise at the end of WF then Marvel/Disney's entire marketing team needs to be fired lol.:yeshrug: And I blame the division on them.

The difference with Spiderman NWH is that Disney "leaked" set photos with McGuire and Garfield so were all in on the joke.

fukk nikka I’m at work—

But I would bet $$$ you own more DC-MARVEL-IMAGE garbage than anything from MILESTONE

Y’all folks nerds not revolutionaries— a lotta this conversation going over ya head

That's not the insult you think it is considering Milestone books have been out of print for years.

But I have the Milestone Compendium, various specials like Milestone Forever and the Static Shock special, and I've bought every issue of the Earth M reboot including variants:pacspit:

Nate Moore (the producer) said that T'Challa would not be recast in 616.
Good thing MCU is about to enter the Multiverse Saga, meaning they can bring in a new T'Challa, right?
This is literally the first Superhero that got erased in the movies because the actor died. Notice the difference? Why should they adjust when they can simply delay, decommission and wait til the incursion/ secret wars crossover?
Why are we saying T'Challa is erased?

When have we ever had an actor playing a superhero die during a cinematic universe?
