Being from NY, I'm all talked out by these Tariq types. There's a point where the surface level discussions he has is something to move on from. I have homies I consider fam still on that type of talk but when you ask them about the inner workings that keep these things active and in place, their ties to government policies, actual studies, that's where the discussions end with the Tariq types.

I'm all drained out by that 125th Mart talk...but by all means...soak it in. I just hope it springboards into something beyond street corner musings that focus on obvious results but relies on shytty pseudo-theories that get us there.

Im actually at rallies like the one this week where we shut shyt down at the bridge. I'm actually at forums spoeaking with experts who give their entire lives to the struggle. I'm not the one bragging about paying for Dr. Ben's medical expenses as if I was the only one knowing many of us visited many of us in the community looked out for him.

I'm just not impressed by dude.

I don't even get the extreme hatred for Tariq. If people don't like him, don't come in threads bytching about him. And still bringing up his "mack lessons" podcasts and his past is just corny. Everyone already knows about his background.

Tariq is my age. No one my age should be leading a movement. Youth movements are to be led by the youth...not dudes in their 40s.

What is shutting a bridge down going to do?

If you actually listen to Tariq, preaching group economics is empowering to black people. He's even giving out small business loans to black people, and putting his money where his mouth is. And a lot of black people don't see the subtle racist shyt white people pull, and Tariq can inform them of those things, and how to handle them.

It just seems really petty and counter productive to hate on him or nitpick every little thing he says in an attempt to one up him.

I've started to notice that black men who tell the truth get hate from the cacs(because they don't like him telling the truth) and also from other blacks out of jealousy and resentment.
