Edit: only positive thing to come out of these hashtag groups is the jokes they have provided my Kenyan/American extended family. My Sis’ husband and my bro’s fiancée are “FBA”. The FBA thing has become a running gag in our family especially for my Kenyan/“FBA” nieces and nephews.

I'm glad Continental Africans aren't taking it seriously.
In general - Tariq is seen as a joke due to the fact that he has no power to enforce anything.
I was kinda scared that his antics would harm business relations between Continental Africans & Diasporans.
My family has a lot of fun with the whole FBA/African hashtag shyt.
